Marlins did good today!

Burger and Jesus Sanchez HR.

I’ve always considered Jesus Sanchez to have 40+ HR potential and in the past I’ve called him the actual best power hitter on the Marlins roster, if he could ever get things together. Well not always considered that to be fair. When he first came up in 2020 I think.. and his BA was like .080 I was so annoyed with the Marlins for keeping him out there. I used to fight with Michael about him.. and also Vesia…

But yeah, in the past I’ve compared Sanchez to Ruben Sierra.. I could see him having that type of career if he can get a little more consistent. He might not ever reach his 40+ HR potential.. but he still definitely has it there.

Burger been incredible. Starting to think he was playing hurt before and finally healthy. Can’t wait for him to be traded in the off season

I hate to say it.. but Burger would look amazing in the Yankee pinstripes. Something about that image just feels right.

No seriously you're just trolling at this point.

May actually ban you until March.

I approve of this measure.

there are very few exceptions to the above rule with relievers.  that's usually the easiest and simultaneously most maddening piece to fill out because you can go into a given year thinking you're stacked in the pen and then key guys do what relievers do and have wildly inconsistent years - this is also why relievers have a great year fetch such high returns at the deadline to teams who's pen hasn't played up to expectations but they're still in the race.

I always like the starter turned reliever route myself as it lets those starters give max effort instead of trying to stretch it out over a full game. Sandy would be like a cheat code as a reliever for instance.

Lazardo seems like a starter who could be an elite closer with that max effort one inning mentality.   Bullpen shouldn’t be a problem by mid season next year with the flux of starting pitchers that will emerge here soon.  I’m just reiterating what’s already been said basically.

If they keep Luzardo I'm thinking it'll be more likely that Max Meyer ends up being a bullpen arm.

Seems like the bats wake up when Jazz is out of the lineup.  I mean how can you produce when there’s a .250OBP guy leading off?   It effects the moral but don’t except you to understand because there’s more to batting than getting on base.

Imagine being a cleanup hitter knowing that there’s no one to clean up because the leadoff guy went down on strikes and adjusting his bling thinking he’s the next Acuna Jr.

Nice to see X with 16 steals already. Really hope he doesn't slow down and keeps getting his hits and steals. Burger has been incredible since Jazz left haha.

Bellozo slowly trying to sneak his way into getting some ROY votes.

Kid is not like the other journeymen starters, he's only 24.

Interestingly his Marlins lineage spans the Ng to Bendix era.  We got him in a trade for Jacob Amaya (Bendix) who we got in a trade for Miguel Rojas (Ng).

He’s pitched 26 innings and has been pretty lucky so far let’s not get ahead of ourselves m8.  He’s an extreme fly ball pitcher, there’s no way in hell in the command stays this good  it’s going to catch up with him eventually, but hope he keeps it up

Goddamn burger is so good. Absolute Ng fleece with that trade

Yeah he had that absolutely abysmal stretch in May and June and I was wondering if he was just turning into trash, but he has been a monster ever since.

Also under team control through what, 2028? Which means we probably still have a year to go before we have to worry about him getting traded lol.

Cabrera is unbearable to watch

at least Jazz got injured so you don't have to post any of his updates. Should be an easy night for you.
