September 26, 20241 yr I remember during the 2013 season thinking that was basically rock bottom. Of course that team still had Giancarlo and Jose (RIP.) Just one loss in these last four and we eclipse that awfulness with brand new dreadfulness! (I was a kid in '98 and didn't follow or care about baseball so I didn't get to enjoy that lovely squad.) At least we aren't the White Sox!
September 26, 20241 yr Don’t forget that 2019 season when the Marlins finished 57-105. Anyone have fond memories of that year? Curtis Granderson, Starlin Castro, Jorge Alfaro, Neil Walker, Martin Prado, Harold Ramirez, Caleb Smith, Jordan Yamamoto. 😂 In the past 5 years the Marlins have lost 100 games twice. Been to the post season twice. Have had 2 different managers of the year winners. Traded away 2 superstars( Arraez and Jazz) and two years in a row set some random mlb records - 12 consecutive one run wins to start a season in 2023. And most mlb players used in a single season with 70 on September 13, 2024. 😂 Who says being a Marlins fan isn’t fun? (Not talking to you Das.)

However even though Arraez has been struggling the past week or so.. he’s still leading the NL in hits and batting average. He deserved a Arraez tracker thread much more than Jazz. Since he actually is a star player and did actually make a difference for the Marlins last year. 😂

That was one of the worst years of my life and the main reason I love baseball (my dad) passed away that year so I barely followed at all.

Well.. this season is bout to end.. hopefully we won’t have another 100 loss season for awhile. Could happen again next year but hopefully not.

It was a rough year and it took me a while to "get back" into the Marlins (I still follow them kind of from afar because I don't get Bally and can't justify the cost of Bally+.) Got into them really again last year in time for the playoff "run," and all the hope that brought for this year. But in the end, only pain. Pretty stoked on X and Norby though. Plus Conine though he's pretty got damn old for a prospect.
