Give me a reason not to extend him now, much better than Arraez, good defense and speed, good person.

Or they just don't want to extend anyone.

It's the Marlins.

Bruce.

There are 2 reasons, without further need for more lol.

Really tired of something bullshit like this, if lost 2027 season means the coming of salary floor then I'm all for it, only the salary floor would force the teams like Marlins to do the right things (extend Sandy rather than trade him ).

I really don't get why people are against trading Alcantra. Dude turns 31 this year. Even with a better second half last year his ERA was over 5 and FIP, xFIP, and xERA all in the mid 4s.

Yea he had 2 good starts against two very awful teams but even then there were some troubling signs(his K/9 being under 7 for example).

I just think elite SP don't grow on trees and can set the tone not only for a staff but an entire series. You gotta keep someone eventually, why not your cy young award winning ace who seems to enjoy Miami?

Than again, were always building for next year right- trade everyone and start again at the ASB.

One more, where is Marlins' contract extensions ! ?

I feel like you stress yourself out over things that aren't going to happen.

Just don't expect much and you won't be disappointed....

We have nowhere near a hitting prospect like mcgonigle is why lol. Theresa still a healthy chance Ramirez, marsee, Norby, Caissie are absolute busts. Mcgongle is basically a sure thing

It's why X is the only qualified candidate to extend now.

He won't be a free agent until 2030. He will be 30 then. Most player's s production starts declining at that age. In particular speed, which is one of his best assets. Extending him would be a ridiculous financial decision.
