February 2, 200422 yr I just saw it on ESPN, and I didn't think it was anything special. Made Beckett kinda look like an idiot, and they were all over Jeter . Nice that Beckett is considered to be in that "class" of marketable MLBers though...

February 2, 200422 yr It kinda sucked that they made Jeter look like the star. It was too short for me to enjoy it. I heard they got 1 mil for that commercial. Still cool that one our own made it up on that commercial.

I was hoping that the players would say, "Now that football is over, do you still think baseball isn't a contact sport?" Afterwards they show a montage of baseball brawls diving catches, players bumping into the catcher (like the final out in the NLDS), and pedro throwing down zimmer. I don't think this would help the sport, it would just be entertaining.
