February 7, 200422 yr Just got back it was pretty cool but the autograph tents and such werent as good as other years. Long ass lines and only abut 3 players signing autographs at a time. Some othere things that were a cool tent with items, got myself a 1993 glass cup and some stat books and media guides. The best part though was seeing the marlins press conference. Beckett, Lowell, A-Gon, Samson, and Beinfest answered fans questions along with Hutton adding some questions of his own. Overall a nice time to spend a couple hours. A little dissappointed with the autograph tents were setup though.
February 7, 200422 yr Got my 41 game season ticket package, absolutely amazed at the numbers of people there at 10am. Blew me away. I thought they could have done a better job with autograph stations too. I loved watching Tommy Phelps pitching to the kids, he really seemed to be enjoying himself. He looked great, hope he has a terrific season.
February 7, 200422 yr Bought my 41-Tix package as well. There is hope. There were a LOT of people there, and a lot of activities. Didn't even bothered with the autographs. Lines were HUGE. The high point of the day for me was seeing so many people, and the club house tour.
February 7, 200422 yr i heard from a reliable source that the bandwagon completely took over, so i decided not to go
February 7, 200422 yr Did you guys see a lot of people buying tickets? I would say that the season tix tables were busy.
February 7, 200422 yr i heard from a reliable source that the bandwagon completely took over, so i decided not to go lol as long as the bandwagon is spending their money for a change for regular season games thats all that matters.
February 7, 200422 yr Author Yeah looked like people were buying tickets. I got my tix for opening day. Lower deck is practicaly sold out and the best section in upperdeck at the moment is 443.
February 7, 200422 yr Yep I just came back.I bought this poster in a frame of the WS Champs for $10 and got penny to sign it.And my sister got me d-train's auto on my shirt it came out messed up though. The lines for the autographs were the worst part I ended up getting wet =/.I bought my opening day tix but dey f***ing sold out the best seats and ended up getting the suckie seats : upper deck eww :thumbdown .w/e atleast ill be able to go. I had terrace box 121 last season but it was on the first base side. This season I bought upperdeck 454 3B side so we could look into the Marlins dugout - so cool, 3rd row (so my kid could see over the railing). Great seats for the $$$.
February 7, 200422 yr I'm in section 107 for opening day. Hopefuly is a good seat it is certainly better than mines section 477 :confused
February 7, 200422 yr Last years fan fest was by far the best! Damn bandwagoners? :banghead The difference from last year to this year was nothing short of amazing !! I'm waiting to hear the crowd counts. Sure it hope it translates into ticket sales. Just remember today's bandwagoners are tomorrow's season ticketholders.
February 7, 200422 yr This is very encouraging - I wish I lived in Miami now because I would certainly buy tix too...I am glad to hear the 'bandwagoners' took over' because, like Das and Marlins2003 pointed out, that is important for this franchise and their future success... GO BANDWAGONERS!!! SHOW YOUR SUPPORT!!! I hope FanFest is a huge success...

You have to start being a real fan at some point so why not fanfest? That's the point of the whole event isn't it? Expose more people to the Marlins to increase ticket sales. The diehards get the show too but no need to hate on new fans (as long as they keep it up anyway). Good to hear about the large crowds 03. If its a good number the FO will probably mention it sometime soon.
February 7, 200422 yr I was there for a few hours, it was packed. I was pretty surprised at the number of people there, but it's a positive sign. However, I've now gone 0-2 this week while trying to get autographs from the players. First, I just barely missed out on the autographs at the Kendall United Bank on Thursday. Today, I didn't even bother to get in the lines, as they were insane. I did happen to see Lowell, A-Gon, Beckett, and Penny in different places, with Beckett and Penny posing for photos.

Consider yourself lucky for at least seeing some of the big names. I only saw Rosenthal and Tommy Phelps. btw, was Jack there?
