Oh no... *62 made his way over here. LOL Of the two games I saw yesterday: The Mets came back to save Pedro's ass... they're first comeback win of over 3 runs this year... good deal. Andruw Jones won the Braves game on a ridiculous homer on a pitch at his friggin neck. Talk about pissing me off.
2. For anyone who wants a reason why not to have Furcal, see the 03 NLDS. 869959 Wow... pretty tough to judge someone on just one playoff series. I'm sure you wouldn't have wanted Bonds in his prime (pre-steroids), based on the 91 & 92 playoffs, right?
3. I answered correctly... you just didn't have him listed for some biased reason.
4. I have no choice but to be sarcastic with you. That sig sends me into a tizzy almost every time. :lol :
5. no... its a SS debate. Nothing was said about the Marlins actually ACQUIRING the guy. Reading comprehension is your friend.
6. I'll take the still cheap, 22 year old, stolen base leader. Not for only this year however, but for the future. If it were ONLY this year, I'd probably take Agon or furcal. Eckstein is a product of his environment. No thanx on him. I was talking about Jose Reyes of course. If he can learn ANY plate discipline, the guy will be UNREAL.

The Mets and us are 4 back...that's huge, especially considering the number of head to heads left...Time for a big weekend series... 869581 Look again.

So technically, the Mets just leap frogged the Phils... but the Marlins are the team to beat!

I love how this race is "really only between the Braves and the Marlins" to you guys, because you still have so many division games left. I'm not saying the Mets will make it, but to count them out is assinine. This year they own every NL East team, but the friggin Braves. That means the Fish, the Nats, and the Phils have to beat them good, which they haven't really shown they can do yet this year.

There was no cursing... it was just back and forth banter... but nothing bad. Everyone seemed to get the humor of the situation except you. It wasn't trolling, and it only continued because I kept getting deleted!

Ok... one of the mods is waaaay too sensitive. I tried bringing it up again today in ONE and only ONE thread... where I pointed out the MEtbs said Leiter would only last 5 innings, and would not be good for the team. There were some friendly replies, but the Mod deleted anyway....

Ok, well I appreciate the understanding. I recall only doing it twice, but I guess it can be seen as trolling since I am a Met fan... but those were some funny quotes. One guy said "Dontrelle and Leiter have the same stuff, so they should work well together" or something of the sort. That was definitely bump worthy. LOL

Thank you, Passion
14. I have no clue which mod deleted my posts, or else I would have PM'ed you. So feel free to delete this thread after reading it. Can you please explain to me why you guys are being so Nazi about this Leiter situation. I brought up two threads... One was just a quote of MEts-BS saying Leiter would be horrible and someone told him to shut up.. that was funny The second was just a bunch of funny statements from when Leiter was signed. What's the point of saving these threads, if you can't bring up when something is anti-Fish. Is this a Zoloft only board? This shouln't be just a Mets-fan thing either, because there were also some Marlin fans in the threads pessimistic about Leiter. They deserve to gloat as well. Crap happens... to EVERY TEAM... deal with it instead of hiding like lil girls, when everything's not Teal. I'll be waiting for a PM that can clear up this Gestapo like behavior for me. Thank you.
15. Hee Hee... I gurantee he blows two big games for you guys down the strethc, if you sign him. HIs last good year was 3 years ago.
16. And you guys said it was just sour grapes, when I told you all he sucked. LOL
17. Nah, this one works much better http://www.shellypalmer.com/MP3/LetsGoMets.mp3
18. It will be considered enough of one to get Al another start... hence the quotatation marks around quality start.
19. Al will respond with one really good start, re-instill some confidence. Then go out and have a "quality" start, we'll say 6 innings/4 runs, everyone will be glad that "he's found himself", and then he will revert back to the Al we all know and love. Count on it!
20. I'm still waiting for the "Looks like the Mets_BS and Hojo were right about Leiter" posts 807543 not like you are always right Benitez :whistle 807544 Funny, I said Benitez would be great, and choke in meaningful games in Sept and Oct. It's not my fault your team wasn't good enogh for him to choke on.

22. Suspects: Matt Perisho- After Jack because he can't remember his name. Recently sent down to AAA. Guillermo Mota- Recently chewd out in front of 30k at RFK. Lost his closing job. Juan Encarnacion- Might still have gripe with McKeon after being benched during the 03 playoffs. Mike Lowell- Has whined to media before. Nate Bump- Recently sent down to AAA despite having a good year. AJ Burnett- #1 prima dona on the team, has done this before. Juan Pierre- Has been benched numerous times in crucial situations. 803570 You are BLIND if you think Leiter has nothing to do with this. I'm pretty confident the quote about the "pressure" on the coaching staff is him. I wouldn;t be surprised if he started the "anonymous source" ball rolling in the clubhouse. Funny how this element is gone from the Mets now, even though the "anonymous" source popped up its head every week the last few years.
23. I really hate the move... the guy was horrible in pressure-less Cincy. The boo-birds at Shea will eat him alive. Bad move, IMO
24. Damn... this place is dead
