  1. Does anyone know what the 25 man roster will look like this season. Im trying to set the rosters for MVP baseball 2005. Any help would be useful. Try to get as close as possible even though the catcher position is still in the air. Thanks :notworthy
  2. This league is a little different. First of all its a keeper league. Also, you must represent a real major league team (your favorite) by choosing one. You must have 10 players from that team on your team at all times. The rest of that team is considered your minor league team where you can add/drop players as you please. There will be a draft to fill the rest of your roster from the players on teams not taken in the league. For more information, e-mail me at Marlins03wc@aol.com H2H.12 TEAMS. KEEPER LEAGUE *Rosters* YOU MUST HAVE AT LEAST 10 AVTIVE PLAYERS FROM YOUR TEAM YOU CHOOSE THROUGHOUT THE SEASON. EVERYONE ELSE FROM YOUR RESPECTED TEAM IS CONSIDERED TO BE YOUR MINOR LEAGUE SYSTEM. For example, my team is the Marlins and I choose 10 or more players to be on my team. The rest of the Florida Marlins are considered to be my minor league system. 15 players acquired through the draft. Starting rosters consist of 1 C,1 1B, 1 2B, 1 SS,1 3B, 3 OF, 1 DH, 4 BENCH Players 5 Starters, 4 Relievers ,3 Bench Pitchers *Statistical Categories/Scoring* Stat categories: R, HR, RBI, SB, AVG, W, SV, K, ERA, WHIP Tell me if your interested. teams taken are the marlins, yankees, red sox, twins, rangers, orioles, phillies, tigers, mets, angels, indians, and cardinals. email me at marlins03wc@aol.com
  3. The Marlins have offered free agent Carlos Delgado a multiyear deal. The NL East would look pretty interesting if the Marlins signed Delgado and the Mets landed Carlos Beltran. Florida remains a longshot destination for Delgado, who is seeking in excess of $50 million over four years. If the Marlins get him, they'll let Jeff Conine and Juan Encarnacion battle for playing time in an outfield corner. Source: San Jose Mercury News
  4. Beckett will be the starter. He was the opening day starter last year and he did great against Livan. Didn't he strike out the side once in that game?
  5. Eric Milton - S - Phillies Still hopeful of landing Randy Johnson, Yankees GM Brian Cashman said the team is no longer in talks with Eric Milton. Perhaps the best thing the Yankees have made so far this winter was a non-move. The Marlins seem to be Milton's top suitor right now. The Dodgers and Mariners might also have some interest. 6. Thats what ive been saying!
  7. Why does everyone hate the guy. I know that he is overpayed but I rather have him than a lot of other players out there. His numbers aren't horrible. The only thing I dont like about him is that he is quiet in the clubhouse. Remember that in 2003 he had 19 homeruns and 94 RBI. He also batted .270 and had 19 stolen bases. Guys, just remember that he was hurting all of last year. Think of those great games he's had as a Marlin such as those two games against the Rockies. In 2003 he had a walk off homerun and last year he had like 5 RBI in a game where we won by one and he knocked in all the runs. I don't mind seeing him playing RF!
  8. When does game 2 start?
  9. its not on tv and the game already started. Leadoff single for pierre
  10. its not on my t.v. either
  11. Wasn't it the other way around last year? Just a question.
  12. Im positive it was him.
  13. I went to the game today and I saw him sitting in a seat by me in the founders club. Why wasn't he sitting in the dugout with his teammate. Did they bann him from the dugout?
  14. I have three founders club seats(row 3) as a gift from David Samson for being a great fan! They are for Tuesday. I can't wait!!
  15. The owner of the Astros doesnt want to give up because of how much he invested for the Astros to win this season.
  16. Oon www.prosportsdaily.com there are a lot of rumors of us getting different players. Those players include... 1.Admin Walker (expensive) 2.Steve Finley (centerfield only) 3.Danny Bautista 4.Brent Mayne 5.Toby Hall 6.Matt Lawton (cleveland hasn't decided to be buyers or sellers) 7.Jorge Sosa
  17. Arizona Republic (Scroll Down) (registration required): "Center fielder Steve Finley hasn't ruled out San Diego as a trade possibility, and he continues to receive interest from Philadelphia and Florida, which was also watching Danny Bautista on Friday." So the Marlins are taking a look at him!
  18. Los Angeles Dodgers Updated:07/15/2004 The Los Angeles Daily News says that reliever Guillermo Mota is likely to be traded by the Dodgers before the deadline. GM Paul DePodesta acknowledged that several teams have made feelers for the pitcher who has the stuff to be a closer and is very affordable at $1.475 million despite having third-year arbitration rights after the season. Wouldn't it be nice to get him.
  19. Today, my father and I went to drink a coffee. There, I met with the Marlins photographer named Robert. He is an old friend of my dad. We were talking about the Marlins when he said that the management was really trying to work out a deal for Kendall and he thought it would happen soon. By the way, what he says is usually right. For example, he told me that we were really close to getting Koch the day before the trade actually happened. Hopefully he is right again!
  20. Lawton is in the Indian starting lineup tonight so it is not him. At least not yet.
  21. Wouldnt it be awesome for him to be a marlin again? He can play first to platoon with Choi and play in the corner outfield spots. He is also a great hitter and could be a solution. Also, all of the players love him. Would the Red Sox be willing to trade him? Th only problem is that he is being paid $3,300,000.
