  1. another almost sure out added to the ML roster. We are regressing, although it means little other than the watch-ability of the team.
  2. The Beetlejuice reference will go over many heads.
  3. I would have to agree. Caleb looks like he has a veteran presence and should be good going forward. We still do not know about Zac, but it still was so far off the radar and Zac's been pitching well, that we certainly were caught off guard.
  4. makes sense, Gallen could be unaffordable in 6 years
  5. Don't mess with the Jess. Actually like her quite a bit and her head bobbing during interviews is world class.
  6. Bullet, you have too much free time.?
  7. And with all that, Sandy represented the team just fine. Topped out at 98-99 and good slider.
  8. Isan really developing. Trying to get a little more value for Castro vs DFA but he is not really helping much. Some tough pitching results with Sixto and Stewart.
  9. Yet his physical numbers look strong. 6'4" 219 lbs. Only 21. Wonder when the growth took place.
  10. Gonna love watching Jerar advance in this organization.
  11. The Fish's are back, the Fish's are back.?
  12. Isn't there or shouldn't there be a consistent rule for reporting attendance?
  13. Love how you have the local bar put on the marlins. It is Iowa, after all. Down here, used to go to Duffy's in N Miami Beach and they touted themselves as Marlins supporters, but often, none or just two sets of about 40 were tuned in the Marlins. You wouldn't just see Mets, Yankees, Cubs, Red Sox, but sometimes you would see multiple sets on the KC Royals vs. Indians. Drove me crazy.
  14. To be serious, I can say that I keep renewing, not to show support to the marlins for the way they do things, but for my own selfish reasons. I grew up down here and a diehard baseball fan. Walking in the stadium that first game in 1993 was magical, I stopped and just said "oh my, a regular season game and our own team". Sure, the "experience" and "experiences" over the years challenges anyone to keep supporting this business, but to a baseball fan, it goes beyond a business. I differ from the example if the food is really bad at a restaurant, you won't keep going unless they improved it. You can choose a different restaurant, but there will not be another team to go watch. I started taking my daughters to games and my older one and I watch almost every game together, either in person or on TV. You can't beat that except I have now taken my 4 yr old granddaughter to games and she is getting it and asking a million questions. Last Friday night, we were babysitting and it was bedtime and she said "grandpa, can we watch a little baseball before I go to sleep". Her favorite is Brian Anderson. Then she says "I want you to teach me baseball". So, yea, I view this from a different perspective and it is not rare or unusual. The fan base in other cities were built from the same relationships with the kids and the generational growth. This is what we are striving for. And I do not want to lose this team no matter how bad they can be and for this I always say thanks that Loria got it done, regardless of the methods.
  15. As far as Geffner is concerned, I know for a fact that he goes to almost every game home and away. This is a real fan. Yet, our fans keep coming up with reasons not to go.
  16. I am thinking of the one for Andy when he got caught rounding first, can't remember the specific day but it was recent.
  17. How are we supposed to know what is going on with Mr and Mrs Fish on vacation. Too much effort to keep up otherwise.
  18. You posed this question knowing the big bat jokes would come out. The perfect straight man.
  19. We have had a few base running gaffes the last few days with Andy getting caught, Puello running around the bases like a little kid running the bases after Sunday home games and Riddle. Hope it does not cost us.
  20. Since they were 10-31, they have gone 18-15 with a 7 game losing streak thrown in there during that time. (or was it a 6 gm streak). Mostly it is the hitting that goes hot and cold (lot of cold at times) and we can avoid Chen and Conley our chances improve.
  21. He had his fastball working, just a brain fart that the kid couldn't get around any fastball so Guerrero threw him a meatball. I'm not blaming this on 3 outings in a row, just a bad decision, because he stayed in and got the side out.
  22. It is so important when someone is not available that the next guy up can just step up in to the other guys shoes and perform at the same level.
  23. We'll miss you. Enjoy. Yes for Jerar-he could be a really good one.
  24. No one in Tampa will go anymore (versus how many go now), no one will like them, just like when all the Canadians spend a few months down here, happy to see them go. (no offense to our part time residents from the north). How would you determine where to have the playoff games since it will be cold again come playoff time?
  25. Story about Cuello on "Angel News". They love him. https://www.halosheaven.com/2019/6/18/18683678/the-curious-case-of-cesar-puello-angels-designated-dfa
