Well, since this is the Monte Harrison appreciation page, let me digress from the current discussions-Bring Monte up, I would rather see a 37% strikeout rate with a guy swinging hard than watching Mrs Sierra at the plate.

Why bring up a guy who is raking when you can keep trotting Sierra out there, who hits the ball about as hard as a 5 year old and other than a few bunts is a dead zone who the Marlins think will learn at the major league level. Then, as soon as we can, bring back a .180 hitter. I can enjoy watching a competitive loser, and that has been what we were much of the year, but now, it is grueling to watch.

This was always part of the question of the return for Ozuna, who still had a few years of control. Taking the #4 pitching prospect instead of one the higher rated pitchers seemed to be giving in somewhat. Who knows, maybe the staff saw something better but it still was worthy of criticism.

Yea, their checking in to see if they can give us their lowest rated minor league pitcher or someone down their prospect line for an all star type catcher instead of top prospects-hard to get rid of the reputation as suckers.
