more to come soon....i think you will see Jordan shutdown soon and maybe a glimpse of Sixto (fingers crossed) even though i expect him to get shut down before that can happen.

I wonder if we will use Stanek as an opener

i think they see him more as a closer type, but only time will tell....he just got reinstated today, so lets see what happens.

God I hope we don't ever use an "Opener".  Such a dumb idea.

not all cans have the easy to open lids

Hard disagree on those of you saying the opener is bad. It's an awesome strategy and it works, especially with a rotation like ours. Still, Mattingly would never understand how to make it work and would leave the opener in for like four innings, or bring in the bulk reliever and have him just pitch one inning or something. So...should we use Stanek as an opener? No, because Mattingly is our manager. Should we use Stanek as an opener next year? Hopefully yes, when Mattingly is a bench coach or a first base coach for the Yankees.

The opener I have is great. Bottles, cans, whatever you need opened it does it well.

good to hear you have a use for your butt

There have been multiple times where a reliever could easily be used and SHOULD have been used for two or three innings, and D-Mats used him for one. Or, hell, just one OUT a couple times. Zero bullpen management ability.
