April Fools
No complaint, just a real good April fools post.

Hot Stove (2021-2022 offseason)
I don't buy into Sherman being fooled. We knew that it would take multiple winning seasons to fully gain back the trust of the fans and that it FIRST required a committment by the organization, not first by the fans. Did Sherman believe that by making the playoffs in an aberration of season by going 31-29 that 2021 would see packed stadiums? The fans were right, 2021 was a shit show and now what-with every team in the division getting better, much better, does he expect fans to flock to the stadium? I think Sherman's big mistake was thinking Jeter was the answer but that should not have fooled him into thinking he would not have to pony up and now Ng is running the show. Neither one came with experience being the top gun in building a team.

3/19 vs Astros - 1:05 PM
I enjoyed listening to Geff last night doing the game. Forget the stream, it was terrible. In the meantime, the FO and Ng continue to have thier "ears to the ground". Saw them all in the back lot listening.

WE blame Sherman. I don't let Ng off any hook. . "It's just something that is fluid, and I can tell you the staff and I have our ear to the ground and a good pulse on what's happening." ear to the ground-more like head in the sand. Word salad is her defining trait.

Hot Stove (2021-2022 offseason)
She had Jeter to fall back on, now fully in charge, we assume, so much to speculate on her capabilities.

Hot Stove (2021-2022 offseason)
At least a discount when taking in to account philly income taxes, amongst the highest city taxes in the US for municpalities taxing residents, and maybe plus state income taxes. Would be millions in taxes over a long term contract

Hot Stove (2021-2022 offseason)
I agree, this is where Kim will shine. She has got this "in terms of" what she will do and once she does it, then we will see how it is. (trying to put things in her terms)

Hot Stove (2021-2022 offseason)
Curious, so I looked up baseball owners net worth from an article Nov 2020. Sherman is second to last, so we are not competing. https://www.audacy.com/sports/mlb/gallery/the-richest-mlb-owners-ranked-by-net-worth

Hot Stove (2021-2022 offseason)
It almost slipped by us so maybe the Nationals will miss it and we could send them someone named Pablo Sanchez

Marte to Mets... 4 years $78 Million
Another s. It job by Ng and front office.

Sandy to the Guardians :(
I feel like hating you for this anxiety.

Hot Stove (2021-2022 offseason)
She has an incredible way of speaking volumes and saying absolutely nothing

Alvarez, Bellatti, Guilmet and Marrero outrighted
Remember years ago we would have said Donovan Solano is the equivalent of Marrero and look what he turned in to. We need to do everything we can to keep Devin.

Hollandsworth will not return to booth in 2022
Eduardo is ok, just ok. Would love Tommy back.

Hollandsworth will not return to booth in 2022
Even if Holly is gone, it will take 2-3 years to stop hearing his voice. Yet, despite his unbelievable long windedness, I did not get overly annoyed. We may not like the replacement.

Hot Stove (2021-2022 offseason)
I am sure Ng has her eyes on two or three backup type catchers hitting .204 with upside.

Stottlemyre's contract set to expire
Hire someone cheap. More bonus for Jeter.

Sixto Sanchez... Rookie of the Year eligible in 2022?
Just curious to see how he responds to his off year and especially his dedication to his conditioning.

9/21 vs Nats
So nice to have a catcher that knows the bat is supposed to hit the ball
-
9/10 at Braves
When Alex Jackson fouls a ball it is considered a quality at bat

Best and Worst Trades in Franchise History
Then there was the trade that can be described as one of the best and worst at the same time. Gary Sheffield coming here to be a catalyst for the 97 championship. The opposite is we traded a young Trevor Hoffman who would go on to the hall of fame. Yet, it was a trade that both sides won. We would never have kept Hoffman in the sell off.

Yoffry Solano
Having a consistent high ranking minor league system is the goal. Except, as good as it is, ranking wise, have you seen the overall batting average throughout the organization? Cause for concern as we will continue the process in perpetuity.

8/5 vs Mets - 12 PM
another powerful swing by Sierra.

Jorge Alfaro Gets The Start On Tuesday
I just got charged my monthly assessment for my season tickets and to think I am paying for this and half of a AAA lineup. It's like let's throw a bunch of crap in a blender and see what comes out.

8/1 vs Yankees
Really have to be tired of Sierra and his weak swings. Enough.
