  1. Bendix seems to have the same answer for every question. Really hard to take it seriously. https://www.mlb.com/marlins/news/marlins-close-to-choosing-new-manger-for-2025-season On the managerial search:“I think we've talked to a really wide range of candidates with different backgrounds, which was really useful for kind of narrowing things down. There's so many different ways that you can be a good manager.” Front office changes: We just understand that we need additional high-end people, that they come in all different shapes and sizes.” On areas to target for improvement “I'd say that we're open-minded on a lot of different things. Can always use more offense, right? You look at where our team finished in runs scored last year, I think we can do better, and that can come in a lot of different places.” On the free-agent market “We're always going to examine all different ways to make the Marlins better.” On the trade market “We're going to examine always. But yes, we will be very much involved in the free-agent market. We will be very much involved in the trade market. There's a lot of different ways that we can make our club better.”
  2. Never heard of Clayton McCullough previously, but reading up on him seems like a legit candidate with other teams showing interest. Interesting that the White Sox are also considering him and Skip. Sox are a mess, ownership may be changing and then there is that matter of living in Chicago vs S. Florida.
  3. If nothing else, we may have had more “interest” in players than any other team. Might as well add our slogan to coaching choices.
  4. More than slightly. Too much detail in topic listing, IMO.
  5. Maybe he thought he was considering some of the clubhouse attendant positions
  6. To anyone who remembers, this game is like watching in the 60's, Miami Marlins VS Tampa Tarpons
  7. Are we going to have enough players to field a team tonight
  8. This one I do really like
  9. Anyone making over the minimum is a tradeable candidate. DLC goes to Arby 1 next year, so keep him, at the moment. Production is secondary to the Marlins. Are we building an offense around prospects and minimum salary players only? And next year with our pitching staff coming back, if kept, is pretty damned good, barring injury, of course. What's the plan? When these young bats, if they meet the hopeful expectations, can produce, the staff will be too expensive and bye bye Sandy, Lizard, Weathers, even Trevor. We are very unbalanced in this scenario.
  10. OK, convinced. Took a better look at the overall stats. De Los Santos is better than Conine, younger also. Like many, just tired of the rebuilds just to rebuild again. Teams rebuild and then lock in. We are a minor organization in all ways. So, we won't win anything now, but maybe I get ill thinking of the return of Anthony Maldanado and watch the rest of the year losing by 6 every game with Puk gone and Scott gone and we cannot shut anyone down.
  11. Based on the numbers and the strikeout rate, we basically traded for another version of Griffin Conine, who we already have and severely weaken our bullpen. Of course we're not winning anything, so what does it matter as long as we can save the money. To me this is just another version of, let's wait a few years before we tell you to wait a few years.
  12. Bally+ ran the promo with the marlins for two free months. Also, Bally+ had a special price for I believe the next 6 months. For me, I have a rental condo that part of the association fee is cable with Fision Hotwire, so I am able to watch Bally on my Bally app and then cast to my TV by signing in with Hotwire as my provider. Reminds me of having to wait for Comcast to carry ACC network. Cannot believe how counter productive it is to not carry local teams. Who is losing when it is all settled.
  13. ROY candidate
  14. I gave a D but now agree a shift to F is worthy for Sherman's literally going after anyone in FA with a real pulse.
  15. We, as Marlins fans, after 30+ years are still waiting for this philosophy by the COO of the Panthers. It is a novel idea, isn't it. There are so many baseball fans here, kids playing at all levels, even counting the large number of young girls in softball leagues, that to think the fan base is not there for baseball, yet somehow it works for friggin ICE HOCKEY. “We always knew if we built it, they would come,” Caldwell said. “And it’s got to be consistent performance. It can’t just be one or two good years here and there. These last four years in particular and the deep runs the last two years, you just feel it all building.” Read more at: https://www.miamiherald.com/sports/nhl/florida-panthers/article288927936.html#storylink=cpy
  16. Another day, another loss, yawn.
  17. Guess Comcast not in any rush to pay bally until next basketball and hockey season
  18. Called xfinity to inquire about canceling. The agent took $40 off my monthly bill just to keep me by giving me a promo rate
  19. So weird to think if jazz does not get thrown out we don't win the game

Rod Allen was commenting before the game that the Marlins hit rock bottom yesterday. Redefining the term.
  21. Just when he was getting it turned around.

Here I sit at game, I WANT A REFUND
  23. Might as well, but Jesus Sanchez always destroyed it in AAA.
  24. I had to stop listening and watching at the office because I was on hold with the irs. My profession. Amazing when watching this team is worse than dealing with the irs.
  25. So we are now officially on a 2028 watch for our latest rebuild.
