  1. I'm just wondering - who here has actually seen his show (or listened to the radio show for that matter)? I listen/watch when I can, but schoolwork/classes/rehearsals always get in the way.
  2. I dated his daughter (she goes to UF)... She doesnt really like her pops and neither do I Glenn's oldest daughter Mary started college this year - you must be talking about another Glenn Beck... Doesn't Mary have palsy? She lives quite a normal life, but I remember something about that. Yes, they were told that she would never walk or have anything close to a normal life, but she beat the odds and even ran track in high school.

  4. Wow - 2 former Sea Dogs managers. :thumbup Paging Rick Renteria...
  5. Did you really need to make four topics about this? The others are closed since this one includes the pitchers, outfield, and infield.
  6. but no one has ever seen him manage before wrong -- is Fredi another early-inning-play-for-one-run-bunting-freak like Torborg and McKeon and to a lesser extent Girardi or does Fredi play for big innings? -- is Fredi the kind of manager that will run, run and run even with players who aren't good base stealers or does he pick his spots to run with good base stealers? -- is Fredi a "gut feeling" kinda guy like McKeon or does he depend on historical data to make his decisions? Anyone know? It's been a long time since I've seen him manage, and was only 12 at the time (1997 season with the Portland Sea Dogs), but I remember he was a very smart manager. The team he had that year was not the kind you would run with much - Randy Winn, Mark Kotsay, Victor Rodriguez, and Alex Gonzalez could all steal a base at the right time. Fredi usually did elect to play for the big inning, since he had Kevin Millar, John Roskos, Mark Kotsay, Ryan Jackson, and Josh Booty ( :| ) who all had 20 or more home runs (Millar had 32 and 131 RBI in only a 142 game season). I can't say how much gut feeling goes into his managing, since I didn't particularly pay too much attention to match-ups (and with the minors having so many people go up and down, the historical data isn't always there). Sorry I can't be too much help, but hopefully it's a start. I think people will enjoy his style.
  7. Is it time for another "gaurenteed win"? :mischief2
  8. I've had teachers on both sides on Wikipedia - one even assigned a reading from it. While most of it is fairly accurate, I never use it in a project or paper without cross-referencing with other sources.
  9. I think he's doing just fine myself... :mischief
  10. -Click on My Controls -On the left, look for the heading Personal Profile -Under that, it says "Edit Signature"
  11. Antonio Alfonseca is with Texas I think. He was released earlier in June, I believe.
  12. I also missed #19, but got the rest correct.
  13. What happened today? I missed the game, went to a movie. Yankees won 2-1 in game 1. Dontrelle had the complete game, going 8 innings, giving up 2 runs on 7 hits with 3 walks and 6 strikeouts. It was Mussina for 7, then Farnsworth for 1 and Rivera for 1 for the Yankees.
  14. I wonder who calls the game tonight? Maybe Boog? Or are they going to pickup the Yankees guys? I don't think it will be the YES guys - they said it would be on ESPN, but they didn't say that it would be them. I imagine that contracts would prohibit appearances on other networks. Still, it would have been interesting, because Al Leiter was in the booth today.
  15. Looks like they've been fired: http://www.wisn.com/news/9421818/detail.html
