  1. I would guess that only about 60% of accounts are unique...
  2. Kevin Orie, wow. How old is he 33 - born in September of 1972.
  3. Proflowers.com I haven't used them, but my parents have used them for each other and my grandparents, and there have been rave reviews. Radio host Glenn Beck advertises them on his show as well.
  4. Nice pictures! We didn't end up getting very much - probably around 2 inches or so, despite the snow going on for a good 6 or 7 hours (but it was in the form of flurries most of the time). A good deal of the snow has melted already, with the water freezing a bit at night.
  5. Not exactly. MarlinMan (formerly FishFanfo'Life) is from Massachusetts, but goes to Colby as well and posts from here. DianneYME is also from Maine, but she doesn't visit much anymore. Miggy Taxi Co. was also from Maine, if I remember correctly. The amount of flurries have been fluctuating; there really isn't much accumulation yet.
  6. Reports are variable as to how much we're going to get in Maine - I've heard 8-14 inches along the immediate coast (my house), with 5-8 inches inland. There is supposed to be a bit less than that north of Augusta (I'm in Waterville, so that would be what I'm expecting). Should be fun.
  7. And what's a C-Band? C-Band satellites are the HUGE dishes - also called BUDs (for "big ugly dish"). I live in Maine, and can't get the Marlins on locally. Occasionally, games are fed to stations through C-Band - in its heyday in the 80s and early 90s almost every sports event was available, often without commentary. Most stations now feed the games digitally through other means, such as MPEG-2 encoding on Ku-Band (which are often viewable if you have the right equipment). C-Band's digital side is called 4DTV, and until last season, the FSN stations were available for subscription, although they blacked out all of them except your local station. Luckily, there were free previews that included all the stations, so I could see most of the Marlins games, between FSN and other stations (TBS, WPIX, WGN, etc...). Sadly, those are gone to Ku too, I believe.
  8. So FSN is back on C-Band? Unfortunately, no. There are still some individual wild feeds from some teams, like the Marlins when they were on PAX, but the FSNs are still gone.
  9. FSN Florida and Sun Sports used to be on 4DTV. Right, but they were taken off prior to last season. All of the FSN stations were divided between W4 and W1.
  10. Here's hoping that the Sun Sports games will be on C-Band! As I discovered a little too late last year, the PAX games were fed on W4, I believe. Unfortunately, that is kind of a weak satellite, so those who complained about PAX's video quality, that would be why.
  11. Ok seriously the quoting instead of typing thing is getting stupid... It's worse than the old "I agree" posts. I agree. :plain :thumbup
  12. ?Buena suerte!
  13. Simple database cleaning - post counts included double posts and other topics that have been deleted. What shows now is the official count.
  14. Wow...in that case I must be crazy. I was almost positive there was a no-name pitcher for us who caught on at a tryout. How was Joe Strong signed?
  15. It happened in El Paso, the Diablos lost their identity and sold out to the DBacks in all ways. See the Portland Sea Dogs for the ultimate sell out - their original logo was teal, but not only because of their affiliation with the Marlins. The teal was considered a "oceanic" color, which fits the city well (as its name implies, it is on the water). After the takeover by Boston, the logo is now Red and a DARK (not water-like) blue, which, quite frankly, look idiotic. And, since the front office figured that more people would want to watch the "future Red Sox", they raised ticket and concession prices a lot - and now, everything is corporately sponsored, and the once charming Hadlock Field has become an appauling mini-Fenway.
  16. Treanor switched from 6 to 20... maybe Uggla asked him for it???? I don't know... but if memory serves, he wore 20 in the minors. Actually, after doing some research, he wore 25 in the minors.
  17. Treanor switched from 6 to 20... maybe Uggla asked him for it???? I don't know... but if memory serves, he wore 20 in the minors.
  18. Link, please?
  19. I wasn't advocating for one or the other there; I'm just posting the stats. I don't truthfully know myself who I want to see out there. I agree with Marlins R #1 that a Uggla/Reese combo might do the best in the interim, but it is clear that the F.O. is not playing to win now. Plus, if the above combo starts, then one or both of Andino/Ramirez would rot on the bench (with the other in the minors), which would probably hinder their development. I just don't think the decision is as "automatic" as some might think. Spring Training will hopefully clear things up one way or another.
  20. Since you don't have a DVD burner, you can't make an actual DVD, but you should be able to create a VCD on a normal blank CD that will play on most DVD players. Unfortunately, I can't find very many free programs that will do this, but you might want to check out http://www.videohelp.com/vcd for information on the VCD format and possible programs. EDIT: Try http://www.divx-digest.com/software/avi2dvd.html for a bunch of freeware stuff. Once you install and run the program, import your WMV, set the aspect ratio to 4:3 (do this below the "Load" button). Then, move to step 2 and select your media type (CD-R and its size). You should be all set with encoding, subtitles, and menus (since you don't need them). Return to the Step 1 window and "Add Job" (bottom). Then press "GO!" and follow any directions. In the end, you will end up with a bunch of files and a .ISO file - this is the one you burn with a burning application. Note that since I use other software, I have never tried this method. But it looks like it might be able to fit your needs.
  21. If we got Hanley in this trade why wouldnt you start him? I dont think Hanley can get much worse than Andino Ramirez last year (AA): .271, 6 HR, 52 RBI Andino last year (AA): .269, 5 HR, 48 RBI Not a big difference.
  22. You don't need to have a menu in order to make or play a DVD. What type of file did you make in Windows Movie Maker and what did you use to burn it on DVD?
  23. Happy Birthday!
