    meh I second that.
  6. We should have gotten Fredi.
  7. Brian Edmondson. One of my favorite Marlins ever. :thumbup Definitely, though I really know him from his days after the Marlins. Why? Was he at Portland? He was, but we really got a chance to talk with him the year after (when he was with the Erie Seawolves). We had season tickets next to the visiting bullpen, so we were close. I think we started talking on the night of the annual Sea Dogs baseball card giveaway - he mentioned that he was probably on three teams' set that year (Akron, Erie, and another I can't remember). We recognized his name from the Marlins, and we got talking about the organization, from the attendance problems to the ownership. It's not too often we cheered for an opposing pitcher when they came in the game, but we did for him!
  8. Yes, it worked for me - nice job! I liked how you matched the pictures with the verses of the song. :thumbup
  9. And my gilfriend is really into Casting Crowns. They are pretty good, just not my style of music, but they are really popular. Yeah, most of their music sounds the same. Not a bad message, though. Rorod, it's funny you should mention downloading a Chris Rice song... I've heard a few promos with him and a bunch of other artists on how you shouldn't do that... :banghead Anyway, his stuff is good, even if he'll probably be remembered most for "Cartoons" - he says he just wants audiences to forget it now . I also like the Newsboys and Audio Adrenaline. There are a number of other songs I like, but haven't heard enough of the artist to really pass judgment on them... I edit a Christian music video show, so I get exposed to a pretty wide variety of Christian music. I have also had the opportunity to meet a number of artists because of the show (actually, that's how I know about Chris Rice's feelings toward "Cartoons"), which has been great.
  10. How about Gabe Gonzalez? 3 games in 1998, 1 IP, 1 ER, 1 H, 1 BB. It's too bad he never stuck around - I enjoyed seeing him in Portland. He was a lefty, but he rarely hit above 84 on the radar gun.
  11. If you want to see some of our work in action, you can visit http://yosuamedia.com/Mambo/index.php?opti...id=20&Itemid=42 . We have some clips of WMSJ Backstage (it's an older set of graphics, before the radio station rebranded), our CCYM "commercials" we made in 2001 (I am the host of the Millionaire-esque game), and a promotional video for the City of South Portland we made for our final HS senior community project (I narrate, albeit pretty badly!). We might put up a few more in the future.
  12. These are what I use to edit the cable show I work on with my brother: Adobe Premiere 6.0 (an oldie but a goodie) Panasonic Optura Pi miniDV camcorder with FireWire/IEEE 1394/iLink Panasonic AG-DV1000 (video deck provided by the radio station we do the show for) Photoshop 6.0 and Illustrator 9.0 for graphics External FireWire Hard Drive (don't know the brand and that info) One of our computers Adobe Encore DVD 1.5 (when we need to export to DVD) Wow - same here! :o Anyway, the FireWire HD is an Oxford Semiconductor 120 GB, 7200 RPM hard drive. (In editing, the general rule is to avoid the 5400 RPM models) Before we went to college and used our own software to edit the show, we edited out of South Portland Community Television in South Portland, ME, where we had experience with Final Cut Pro. Both Final Cut and Premiere has its advantages, but I like Premiere better (although I have not used the new Premiere Pro too much). Cape, if you wanted a program like Premiere you can buy an older educational version, and then upgrade to Premiere Pro through Adobe - the latest license agreement is the one that counts. So you could get the educational version for $349 (or whatever it is now) and get the upgrade for $149 (or whatever it is), and have a completely licensed version for $200-$300 less than if you bought the program outright.

  16. Perisho was let go a few weeks back. He never made it up. Actually, he was up for one game (September 2nd) - he gave up a double to the only batter he faced. Of course, he was vintage Perisho by allowing an inherited runner to score. Unlike many times with the Marlins, the person who hit the double eventually scored.
