Here is another twist. I live in Tallahassee - and I cant see any Marlins games at all! I live 500 miles away, but can get Braves games...obviously they are on TBS. My only hope is Braves, Cubs or, gasp, ESPN to see Marlins. We dont have Fox Sports, in fact, we dont even get D-Rays (which is fine with me). So what did I do? I bought MLB Extra innings last year but the games were still blacked out. I bougth the Internet service from MLB and that is still blacked out! Basically, I am willing to spend the money but still cant get games! I have talked to several people on the approriate channels about this, and got no help. I dont know if there is any resolution along the horizon, but if we stick together here, we may get something done. Help me!!!!! :banghead Jonny, I have pretty much the exact situation. Derrek Lee for Jeff Conine? Don't even think Beinfest is foolish enough to do that (although he signed Pudge for 10 mil, so who knows). Conine isn't even as good as Lee right now, and Conine's 36 years old. He ain't gettin any better. But I guess striking out with the bases loaded will reduce your value in a hurry. how about the RISP stats? i havent looked at Conine's yet I didn't find with RISP, but I did find that Conine is batting 280 with runners on.

We don't need Conine for an extended period of time. We have the 1b prospects that can take over in a year or two, and it is welll known that we probably won't be able to keep Lee anyways and that's why it would be a good trade if we can get a reliever, also.

well, I think the orioles would rather have Lee cuz he is a lot younger than Conine, even though Conine is the better player and if we get Conine we only need him for 1 or 2 years because we have some good 1b prospects, so I think they might take the deal, and I was thinking we could add some prospects to try and get one of their bullpen guys too.

Well, do you think our young 1B prospects will be ready next year? If not I think this would be a great trade.
