anybody on here been to a FSL game, or been to more than one venue. If you have do you recommend it or if you've been to more than one, which would you recommend over the other. For some reason Ive always wanted to go to a minor league game, but living in a major league area it was a waste of time. Now that Im at UCF 3/4th of the year I may just go, but wanna see if its worth it ahead of time if possible. Im not expecting Marlins level play, just some affordably priced decent quality entertainment and not just with the team.

whats the major league average and how many teams are below us this season and last?

my favorite is when Treanor (Lo Duca didnt play in the 1 game I was at this year) comes up to the plate with Black Sabbath- Crazy Train after all the spanish music and reggaeton, I cant help but laugh.

hey when it improves an already good campus Im not going to complain. Theres plenty of room for it to grow, new housing coming, on campus stadium on the ballot and likely to be approved. State of the art shyte on the way, plus the state of the art rec-center vs 19th century buildings. Ill take modern day over the past any day.

tough, but scoring the winning run of the entire WS takes precedence to me over hitting the winning HR of the 4th game of the WS although it was as important as you can get without winning the whole series.

The American Baseball League The ABL is a sim league with owners and coaches controlling 16 organizations to try to win the league championship. There are all fictional players and each owner and coach can change the name of one player to his own. We use OOTP6 to simulate games between the teams. This upcoming season we will allow some of the draftees to be created by members of the league in their image and then help them improve through the minors and into the majors by earning them points to improve. You do not need the game to join, nor does it cost anything to join. We're looking for some coaches & players. visit our website and IM Heggis27 on AIM or theasfl on YIM if interested...you must have AIM to join. All members are required to remain active on the message board, so even if you dont get a job right away theres something to occupy your time with. ----------------------------------------------------------- Right now the league is full of White Sox, Red Sox and plenty of other non-Florida fans. Since Im the commish and Im pretty much the only one, Im looking for a little support.

Orlando has more s*** to do than Tallahassee and Gainesville combined...whenever I visit friends at UF its boring as hell, the dorms are horrible and even when we go out the people are mostly a**holes if youre not a student and only partial a**holes if you are. Maybe it was just the areas my friends were in, but UCF campus life and living conditions are much better. Orlando has about 154 times the entertainment as compared to Gainesville as well.

Palm beach is not a big market. For seats to sell it needs to in south broward or in dade, those are the most populous areas. JRS by the way is not really in a centralized area. Although it is in between the two counties, its really in the outskirts of both. 856500[/snapback] Palm Beach is a bigger market than Jacksonville. US Census the Ft Lauderdale/Broward area is only 600k less than Miami and is far more condensed, since Broward is probably less than half the size of Dade & Palm Beach. West Palm does have 1.1 mil less than Miami, but Melbourne adds 476k to that and Ft. Pierce/Port St. Lucie adds 319k as well, so the amount of people living within say 2 hours of the stadium wouldn't be effected as negatively as youd think. Homestead to Boca is about 1 hours 45 mins, Melbourne to Boca is about 2 hours 15 mins...granted this isnt factoring in rush hour and what not I live in Coral Springs (but go to UCF), so going to the current stadium isnt bad since its right on the county line, but the Orange Bowl is about 90 mins plus due to bad traffic, plus horrible parking and so on. Boca is a much better area to put a stadium in. Its not that bad of an option, do I think it will ever happen...no. Just because you've gotten yousta driving 15-30 mins to the stadium, doesnt mean you should stop because its going to be 45-60 mins now. Thats what it is for most of us. The team would be fine in either area, just keep them here.
