We may have several potentially great pitchers, but I guarantee you they won't be great in a Marlins uniform. Instead of whoring themselves out for pitching prospects, how about the Marlins actually sign someone to a long-term deal when they are young and let them develop into greatness while actually in a teal uniform? Never disagreed there. The question was who would I rather have long term and I gave my answer.

does the future ace of this team change weekly or something? No, we have several that can fit into that category. Penny just happens to be one and I do think having a potentially great pitcher is more valuable than a good thirdbaseman.

true but he was in A ball... I think Stokes will be better, but it was only A ball That is fine Ramp but given the team he was on it is impressive what he did. Adrian had protection hitting because he played with other good hitters. Do you not think that Stokes could have launced as many HR and gotten as many RBI if he were in Adrian's spot in AA last year? Wow, for everyone who said he is struggling a week ago I think he must have heard you. Look at his statline from last nights game: 4-5, 3R, 7RBI, 2B, 2HR (including his 2nd Grand Slam of the year). He now has his BA up from .230 a little over a week ago to .265 and has raised his HR total from 4 to 11. He now leads the Florida State League with 53 HR and will participate in the all-star game in a week. He also has had 2 multi HR games in the last 3 days. By the way, pitching propsect Nic Ungs threw a complete game, 5H, 1R game to get his 5th win and lower his ERA to 1.86.
