  1. Will someone explain to me why the love for DLee? He is not a bad player and people never give him credit for anything. He can go 6-6 with 6HR and 24RBI one game and people will say he still sucks. I am rooting for the underdog.
  2. Penny has been one of the more consistent pitchers on this team if not the most consistent throughout the year. Bad starts happen to every pitcher, ace or scrub. I expect Penny to turn it around and perform much better his next time out. Who is this man? Who took over Das' account and posted something positive. I actually agree with this assesment.
  3. and ps... I dont GAF about Double A ball. But you probably knew that. You don't say....
  4. If I recall Josh has NEVER had this much success. Actually he did, in AA. :lol Anyway, I remember last year I took my father to a game after hyping Beckett up. My father does not like baseball much and finds it boring, but I told him we had this stud rookie pitcher who was going to dominate the game. He agreed to go and was actually excited. We got there early and the date was May 29 against the Reds. Beckett's line that game was 1IP, 7ER, 1BB, 2K. Needless to say my Dad thought I was full of s*** and has not returned to a game with me. (Not that I blame him).
  5. I thought I did in the post a few above. :banghead
  6. he not going to be chosen MVP anyways I can make a last second plea can't I?
  7. For all of you who bash DLEE, he won the game for us tonight. He hit the insurance HR and his great play on the bunt in the 9th and heads up throw to 3rd to save us from having a runner on 3rd!
  8. I got to go with Miami. Can't bet against the home grown team.
  9. I actually like this idea of yours. If I am around I will participate. Raptors Heat Bucks
  10. that may be true.... but you need to respect people's opinions whether you agree with them or not Spare me the 3rd grade teacher lesson. I accecpt your choice, but I really can't respect it. It just does not make sense for the topic and I have a hard time believing you truly think Harvey is the Marlins best RP of all-time. Im sorry you feel that way. Uh huh........ :whistle

  12. well, it sucks... but should his performance so far count for nothing? it's a joke if Shea beats out lowell in the voting though. i assumed his votes would slow down big time, but apparently it's not happening. Probably just the opposite. He had all of the Red Sox fans voting for him before, now he has all of the Diamondback fans for him as well. The trade just helped his voting out I guess.
  13. the topic for this thread is "Marlins All-Time Team"-Your Choice... so who cares if Harvey is picked over Nen or if Paul Bako over CJ.... who f***in cares? Correct ALL-TIME TEAM. This is not a best year team. It is a team based upon who was the best at that position for the Marlins during their career, or what they did for the Marlins. Not something based upon one goods season that accomplished nothing. Harvey pitched for the Marlins in three seperate years, yet he only had one good, productive year. Yet he is your choice for all-time Marlins relief pitcher over someone who had a great 4 years here? Doesn't make sense or add up.
  14. WildCard... Some people are just different and like to be difficult. You will never change them and thats why society usual shuns them. They usually were picked on as kids, not given enough attention or were always just plain old outcasts. You are young but will learn in time who some of these people are.
  15. Not trying to start a fight here, but how can anyone be legit and pick Harvey over Nen for RP? Harvey pitched only 1 real year here. That year was great but the other 2 years he was a Marlin were wastes. Nen had 4 great years here where his ERA was never over a 3.89. In fact here were his stats: SEASON TEAM W L ERA G GS CG SHO SV SVO IP H R ER HR HBP BB SO 1994 Florida Marlins 5 5 2.95 44 0 0 0 15 --- 58.0 46 20 19 6 0 17 60 1995 Florida Marlins 0 7 3.29 62 0 0 0 23 --- 65.2 62 26 24 6 1 23 68 1996 Florida Marlins 5 1 1.95 75 0 0 0 35 --- 83.0 67 21 18 2 1 21 92 1997 Florida Marlins 9 3 3.89 73 0 0 0 35 --- 74.0 72 35 32 7 0 40 81
  16. DLEE for a 2nd straight night.
  17. "they have been mediocre...all of them." The rotation has been amazing and there is no 2 ways about it. We need to get Beckett back. If they can somehow keep this up then we should be winning a lot more in the future.
  18. Just like to tell you all he asked me ONE question, what Alex Arias's OBP in 1994 was. I admitted I didn't know. By the way, this was the end of our conversation: BBMarlins1: whatever, i'm gonna go study for my finals tomorrow Bashed112: hope u fail I'm not going to sugarcoat anything. I don't care if you do well on your finals. The way you act probably shows you will just cheat on your finals anyway. When I said I will ask another question, one that is a Marlins team record you ran away. Scared..... :boo-woo
  19. If anyone can find out his age please do... He was born Feb. 17 (same as Michael Jordan), 1979. So that would make him 24yrs old. He is 6'1'', 200lbs and bats and throws both with his right hand.
  20. I just would like to let everyone know, including you Das... That MKotsay accepted my challenge to prove me wrong about his statistical knowledge off the top of his head and FAILED TERRIBLY!
  21. Even if he didnt know it off the top of his head....who GAF? I do, liars bother me. And by the way Kotsay, you want to prove how much your really know. Meet me on AIM and I will as you questions. This way when you look up the answers we will see how long it takes you. If you respond almost immediately and it is correct, then you will have proved me wrong and I will post and admitt it. By not accecpting the challenge, you will have basically admitted that I was correct in accusing you of being a fraudulant liar.
  22. Also forgetting about his terriffic defense...made something like 5 or 6 errors the whole year in 95... something like a .994 or .996 fielding percentage...Woo, I am HOT. I need to find someone to play poker with right now while I'm still in the zone... Or you are pathetically trying to unsuccessfully fool everyone. Nobody belies you knew every #27 to wear a Marlins uniform, including our ex-thirdbase coach. And sure as hell nobody believes you knew Greg Colbrunn's 1996 defensive fielding percentage and errors commited at 1B off the top of your head, especially since you were all of 9-years-old during that season. Truly sad and pathetic, but if you want the attention keep going. I think we all could use a few more good laughs. :jackass
