I havent been there in months but they show up every week.

According to that meeting on Monday with "selected media" people........ 12K season tickets were sold last year instead of the advertised 17K. Attendance last year was closer to 1.4 mil (an average of about 17.3K per game) instead of the advertised 2.2 mil (27K per game). The team lost "tens of millions of $$$" last year. About 5K season tickets have been sold this year. It's hard to tell how much of this to actually believe, with the exception of the amount of STs sold this year. Even that I would think is high. But I would guess the actual numbers from last season are somewhere in between. They screwed up royally by openly going after a particular customer base instead of the entire customer base, to the point of insulting that base. How they don't realize this is beyond a sane person's comprehension. Of course it is easy to see why they selected what media members could attend. Why open it up and have to answer the tough questions from media people that could care in the least if they are ever invited back, or that have negative views of this org?

I'm with Admin in that Loria really wants to win, but I can't help but think it'll be like Jacques Clouseau where he stumbles upon another championship in much the same way. Outside of money and a new owner bringing it, are there baseball people available that know how to win that AREN'T employed right now?

Jesus, Anything serious? What parts were in the stands? A tire, shrapnel, suspension parts. Two in critical condition, one life threatening. Rest are ok. 30 people were hurt in all, half were treated at the track.I know it's hard to laugh, but if you watch the Espn video on their site about the wreck there is mention of the engine ending up in the stands as well, and the driver saying he couldn't believe it was gone. This wreck was crazy from what it sounds like. One in critical but stable and another with life threatening injuries.

well apparently the panthers feel were good to go with what we have. basically we'll just keep juggling the lines. excellent strategy. What's your suggestion? Juggling the lines is five if they feel they haven't found chemistry and need improvement. It's the same reason you pull the goalie. You pull him to change the chemistry and hope improvement comes. I've been pulled from games were losing 3-1 in the third, and didn't understand the move until I saw body language on the rink change. A 3-1 deficit with 10 minutes to go led to a 5-4 win.

It is, back to the luongo talk we had.... The technical goalies rarely deviate from certain save "poses". The reactive goalies just try to get their body there.

That was a great save, desperation always leads to brilliance. Anyone remember CuJo's save in 1998 or so during a playoff game when he was an Oiler, that save to this day I imitate when the situation arises.

The BP hats for all teams are considered in game alternate caps, to be used at the teams discretion. I see the Marlins using the White front with the black jerseys and the Orange Bill with the Orange Jerseys once or twice instead of the all black. Expect to see a few infiltrate games, such as the Pirates one with the Yellow Bill, and the Mets cap with Mr. Met on the front. The Reds one may be seen with the reds new alternate jersey- the ROJO's one.

You may have to go into a Lids and look for it, it seems they all are sold out and gone from online. I got my blue one online, and had seen it in lids. There is a Snapback with the white front at Sports Authorities too.
