Also, I love how you guys are following my post and putting them down rep wise--- almost like you think I care what you think. If you follow the herd eventually your led to slaughter- remember that. You cared enough to bring it up. Noticing a trend and Caring are two different things. Ah, but you didn't just notice it. You brought it up. Little Care Bear, you. Your a piece of "Hanley".

Who cares? The people who complained every game that they wanted Hanley banned from the Marlins for life. So dumb people? Thats a very ignorant comment. You should look up Hanley's POPAWOPBIP this season, you'd see exactly why his welcome was worn out.

Hanley had Stanton behind him before his injury and wasn't hitting then. He HAD protection. Hanley's POPAWOPBIP turned around once he was traded, it shows where his mindset was- and that was anywhere but here. He played his way out of town like Manny played out of Boston. Hanley's POPAWOPBIP was horrible these past few years.

How boneheaded is this Front Office?
There seems to be a lot of talk lately about the Marlins FO, and justifiably a lot of criticism regarding their decision making. I think when judging this FO, though, it's important to look at more than trades and contracts, which can, on occasion, be susceptible to hindsight (such as the oft mentioned Cabrera/Willis deal). Though this team has certainly given out some immediately questionable contracts and pulled the trigger on mixed trades over the last two seasons. I want to talk a little bit about how this team scouts and handles players. Three scenarios immediately come to mind which I think are indicative of the boneheadedness that defines this FO. 1. Bonifacio (2009). I don't really want to get into it, as enough has been said, but they chose to stick with this guy and his negative WAR for 500 PA, potentially costing us a playoff run. This when a presumably productive Gaby Sanchez was waiting in New Orleans. 2. Dominguez (2011). They expected him to assume the starting role when all sense and reason said it was exceedingly unlikely he was ready. Then when they realized their error, they had no choice but to throw the starting 3B job at Murphy, having failed to plan for any other contingency. Luckily, Dobbs bailed them out for the first couple months of the season with his .400 BABIP. 3. Bell (2012). Yeah. This thing. Perhaps it wasn't entirely their doing, but they gave him that contract. If it was Ozzie insisting on using Bell over and over and over and over, I refuse to believe they weren't capable of stepping in and making sure he wasn't used in leverage situations. I don't know how many wins these three scenarios ultimately cost us. Then there's the futility of the Carlos Lee trade because "he's an RBI guy", their unfounded faith in Coghlan for 100 PA of .400 OPS, the Ozzie Guillen hiring (10 million dollars and prospects for a backward thinking gimmicky manager who seems to judge his success by how many people disagree with him), the constant shuffling of players between New Orleans and unnecessary demotions (followed by pointless and short stints), their over-reliance on scouting, and their apparent obliviousness to sabermetrics and alternate sources of information. Despite their penchant for pulling off a clever trade every now and then, this FO has demonstrated a level of incompetence that I find hard to wrap my head around. Count me among those who think its time for Beinfest/Hill to go, and for this organization to radically reassess it's approach to decision making. Yeah man, because Ozzie Martinez and Jhan Marinez for Ozzie Guillen was a horrible deal for the Miami Marlins- especially when Jack Mckeon announced he was retiring, Bobby Valentine was off the table, and we were headign to a new ballpark and needed a big splash heading into the offseason. Your right. We should have never given up on Martinez and Marinez- we'd be playoff bound and would have clinched the division already.

8/10/12 Hanleys Return
On August 10th at 7:10PM, Hanley will officially play a game against the Miami Marlins as a member of the Los Angeles Dodgers. I'd like to mark the occasion by getting as many of us board members and our closest friends and family together to heckle hanley during each of his at-bats and to show him our resentment for his poor performance and attitude as a Florida/Miami Marlin. I propose a get together in section 314 above home plate and above both broadcasting booths. Lets see how many of us can we get. What's the point? Baby Hanley sucked for the last 3 years. He's gone, for good reason. We're 36 million better off. He contributed greatly to a losing cause for his first 4 years. So it goes. No reason to act like a bunch of a$$hole Philly or Mutt fans. Ignoring his giant ego would be more of an insult. Narcissists hate that. He's ignorant to the fact that he underperformed, was hated by is teammates, and didn't deserve the dignity of going to an anchor MLB franchise On August 10th at 7:10PM, Hanley will officially play a game against the Miami Marlins as a member of the Los Angeles Dodgers. Besides he tore apart the league in his first 5 years, not like the guy never did anything here. His overall attitude when he was here spoke volumes, and I'm not convinced he wanted to be a Miami Marlin at the end of last year when we signed Reyes. such as dodgers- like he's wanted to be traded to since he got here. Remember him wanting to be in Boston 2 or so years ago? Or Him Reacting to a fan on twitter with Apartamento 70 (his contract value)? Or even him booting the ball, and taking a jog in the park? He deserves a FU- but at the same time I'm not opposed to an underrated chant if he'd understand it. A FU is pretty easy to understand in any language.

8/10/12 Hanleys Return
I sat in section 313 for 1 game (friend's season tickets) & you gotta REALLY yell loud if you want the players on the field to be able to hear you. The seats are so far up that Billy can't even come close to shooting a t-shirt up there with his gun thingy. If your goal is to annoy Hanley then try getting seats in the lower level. If your goal is just to try and make it sound on TV/Radio like everyone hates Hanley then go ahead and sit in the upper level. Usually the upper deck is the cheaper seats and we can get a group together all at once. In the lower level it'd be next to impossible to take over a section. Good insight though. We should bring some noise makers too- maybe one of those police microphones.

No sweat off my nose on the whole Hanley thing. Before you know it, he will have as bad of a year as Yoenis Cespedes is having. Ignorant comments like this are always great. The Marlins offered Cespedes more money than the A's did. Please show me any article to back that up. Unless you mean annual average salary in which case you would be correct, but we never offered the amount of years that the A's offered. Therefore the A's offered more money than we did. However you look at it we made a mistake in not offering Cespedes a contract. It was still affordable especially considering the amount of money that we were reportedly offering Pujols. Either way the comment by JSERVS7 was not ignorant. We could have easily signed Cespedes for a reasonable contract, especially that he wanted to play here (contrary to reports by the marlin bashing media) in Miami. Why don't you give us a link that says he wanted to play here? You know that, how? If he really wanted to play here, he would've taken the annual salary which would've allowed him to become a free agent sooner, as well. It's also silly to say all of this in hindsight considering Cespedes hadn't played a game of professional baseball here before signing. Giving him 6 years was a huge risk. You're making it sound like it was a no-doubter of a decision. http://cubbiescrib.c...-play-in-miami/ There is your link. There were many reports of this on spanish TV and spanish media. He would have come here over Oakland in a heartbeat. No, it wasn't a sure thing that he would be a superstar but it was a gamble worth taking that he would at least be much better than anyone we had at CF. Especially for 4 years. $9 Million is alot especially for the Marlins, but considering our OF options internally, and the costs of FA players it was sort of a no brainer. Hell the A's are in worse financial shape than we are and they took the gamble. No balls no glory. Many on this board thought that Heath Bell was a bigger gamble and they were right. I know that hindsight is 20/20 but that is the nature of the business. I'm sorry, a fan blog site is not a credible source. No matter the content that is not how you go about proving facts.

Hanley, Choate to LA for Eovaldi, McGough
I am a few days late but how the hell did this happen?? We give up Hanley because no one in the line up can hit to protect him. And wee get crap in return??? Funny now Hanley got some protection in LA he is all of a sudden hitting again. He was one guy on the team and not one guy can get every hit!! I am sorry to see him go... GOOD LUCK HANLEY!!!!! I wish you all the best as you are smoking the ball in LA... Stupid stupid move.... Another Miggy to Tigers for crap Where's Miller? Maybin? What a waste again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! STOP killing the team!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh Please- Just STFU.

What the hell am I gonna do with this thing now?
Eh, I still wear my Dontrelle Willis Marlins jersey. I just have to field the, "Whatever happened to him?" questions. Nothin wrong with rocking a former player who left on good terms- Connie- willis, Sheffield, Beckett or lowell. I will probably never wear my H2R again unless they reassign #2 and I will never own a Uggla unless it's a 08 ASG so I can yell at him 2 errors and point at the patch and have him correct me. Speaking of which- who here actually owns an authentic H2R Jersey?

JJ Rumors
That's the point. They wouldn't unless they were desperate beyond belief. If they were to reject (which is most likely) we'd have the Ranger's deal to fall back on. Even I'm thinking that logic is moronic. Because one team won't give us what we want, we'll go to another team because THEY will? I don't know if the Rangers have offered that deal, but if they have- then CHEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA Yeah- that's exactly how trades work.

It is unfortunate but I can't have this on my wall anymore. Sad day for my wall. Fatheads are kinda childish but cool at the same time. They do have a Giancarlo Stanton one now on the website. Hey man thats nothing, i would keep it. If you loved hanley for the Great things he did for us do the same. I got Hanley's 09 (Teal/Chrome) ASG Cleats and his 10 Home Cleats and Im planning to get them signed by him someday (hopefuly) and keep them. He will always be my favorite. He won't want to sign ur cleats, he will sign them GnRz. That's right. Ganley.

He's also a recovering drug and alcohol addict. I'm not sure Miami would be the place for him. You mean you don't play him in LF? He can't have his own drink at the Clevelander like LoMo?

Ideas from a frustrated fan (Warning Long post)
It's times like these, when players such as Buck and Bell are still on a ML roster when it's obvious they are no longer capable of contributing -That I can appreciate the NFL and even hope for non guaranteed deals to become the norm in baseball. Mets still paying Bobby Bonilla? Yup!

Marlins may become sellers
The team can't be an all out seller and still save face. It will be addition by subtraction- H2R gone but a bat like Upton back. No way they make moves for strictly prospects who aren't ML ready Yes way. Can take off some salary for next year and get prospects back giving us more young pieces on top of more money to spend in free agency in the offseason. And Risk Alienating your fans and seeing them disappear for good? Erik- I said a bat like- I did not say only Upton. You should know better of all people, and be able to read things through.
