  1. I think Clemens is in the game now for the marlins. It looks like him with that doughy gut and #21 atleast
  2. Im at the game, honestly wondering if I can aim this peanut at squall to get his attention- or if I should just start arguing OBP, slugging and POPAWOPBIP really loudly in his generally direction. Lol. Left early. Baby was ready for bed and getting pissed. Good thing I didn't throw the peanut, I was aiming at this really husky black guy, he might not have been happy.

  4. Is a pre-game autograph signing with moderator TheU enticing? We can make that happen. I don't know Admin, I'd love to go but don't know anything about the section. Is there a private concourse and is it a great seat?
  5. What's amazing is that he's so convinced what he's saying makes sense that he goes out and throws insults too. He said I was a "f***ing moron" for not understanding why a pitcher would pitch around Hanley to get to Stanton instead. Why, you ask? Because Stanton strikes out!
  6. There are 4 cornerstones to this franchise as we speak...Reyes, Buerhle, JJ and, the most important of all, Stanton...lets hope we can soon add Turner, Eovaldi, Fernandez, and Yelich to that list... I'm not really sure Eovaldi can realistically be considered a future cornerstone. The guy will probably be a decent reliever. Johnson is probably gone after next season, if not sooner. To write off any prospect/young player as a reliever or bench player when he was just traded for a former all star is moronic. Then again, I shouldn't be surprised with your doom and gloom attitude. I wouldn't be surprised to find out you have an underground bunker and a pallet of tang in your backyard. What's your plans for 12/12/12 penguino? Will you be in your bunker waiting for planes to crash and your home to spontaneously combust? I hope you forget to pack an oxygen tank down there. You're right. A player is certain to be awesome just because he was traded for a former all-star. Nothing else matters, such as Ramirez's recent performance and his contract status. And Ramirez was struggling in Miami because opposing pitchers would rather pitch around him to get to Giancarlo Stanton. You are right about that too. Hell, apparently Eovaldi's own performance doesn't matter! Sorry, I won't be engaging in this pissing match with you. :sleazy

  8. Who's going? And more importantly, who wants to get hammered pregame?
  9. Congrats Giancarlo, can't wait to see what you do in September.
  10. Giancarlo Stanton is an absolute animal. Test him and find out which one!
  11. So, I think this trade rivals the marlins dodgers trade of 98, except Sheffield and Johnson were at the top of their games, and the Dodgers gave up Piazza. Amazing either way, historical. A big change from McCourt and FoxCorp back in the day.
  12. Proof of reincarnation- William "Sliding Billy" Hamilton is 3rd all time in stolen bases in a career (912) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Billy_Hamilton_%28baseball%29
  13. Rumors are swirling that either Fielder or Verlander failed a drug test. Where? If it's Verlander that would incredibly suck.
  14. Hanley didn't even say anything bad about our attendance; that was Matt Treanor. QFT
  15. Where's the downvote?
  16. Doubleheaders are swept only 26.2% of the time. This is one of those (rare) times. Source: Elias Sports Bureau. Dude- the game is still in the 8th inning. What is wrong with you? Are you in that much of a hurry to start a game thread and post game thread?
  17. I'm not sure how you can get an accurate count of the gate attendance just by watching games on TV, especially considering how huge that place is. The bottom line is that the Dodgers fanbase has been one of the best in baseball in attendance. That's nothing like the Marlins situation. The problem with the White Sox I think is that their ticket prices are way too high. They have a horrible upper deck and they charge a lot for those seats. I remember reading that their average ticket price is in the top five for most expensive in baseball. Actually, the White Sox aren't that bad. The Marlins are an average ticket price of $29.62 while the White Sox sit at $29.00. The White Sox are 10th or 11th, behind teams such as the Marlins, Nationals, Twins, Red Sox, Yankees, Cubs, Phillies, Cardinals and Astros. The Dodgers are $23.22 and the Angels are at $19.71. The White Sox tickets aren't too high. They White Sox just arent the biggest show in town and it's reflected in attendence. Sidenote: I find it comical some of the most expensive tickets in baseball are the worst teams in baseball. If I looked at it right the Astros are 6th in highest price. fancostexperience.com/pages/fcx/fci_pdfs/8.pdf
  18. it's not on TV at all? i was about to head to the bar to watch :\ The D-backs are televising it. In other words, we gotta find a Bar with FSN-AZ
  19. Just put your TV antenna on your head, place your left index finger on your nose, and point your right thumb upwards towards the west. That should give you the signal. I would, but right now my antenna seems to be stuck in your rear end.
  20. Anyone know where we can watch Game one of the double header? I'd like to see Turner pitch? Anyone live steaming it? *Huh, my 2k post*
  21. Huh , got on air. Asked about lee still using Astros bats. Cool.
  22. I'm only a week into law school so I'm gonna let someone else tell you why you're wrong... But do you own your own house? Didn't think so. Penguino- I wasn't the one who said that--- Miami_Marlins_Fan was. Who said that you did? I assumed you were assuming it was me.
  23. I'm with a few of you, but I'm more interested in personal highlights. If they add up to wins so be it. I'd like so see Brantly hit .270 the rest of the year. I'd like to see Stanton stay healthy, and take the HR crown with a .290 average and great RF. No more diving for balls he wont get to, I cringe everytime I see him go all out because of his past problems with it. Now that he's had that knee surgery, he's been better but right now- play it safe, make a few great plays and stay healthy. I'd like to see JJ give up only 3 ER each start, rarely 4. Build up confidence for next year. Heath Bell take back the Closer's job, and not give it up again. Reyes get back to last years level, or close to it. Ruggiano hit .300 the rest of the year, with 6 more HR's. Carlos Lee earn a contract to return next year. I think he's earned it, but I'm not sure if I want him back because of Lomo's 1B. Eovaldi give up only 4ER and get into the 6th each time out, I think that would be a victory for a his career. TURNER!!! Bring him up for a few starts when his Milb season is over, lets see him. I'd like to find a 3B, maybe move Ruggiano there for a week since he's the emergency 3B.

Penguino- I wasn't the one who said that--- Miami_Marlins_Fan was. Marlins- Tell me why I'm wrong, I opened the door to correct me. I wasn't being stubborn. I believe the evidence is there atleast to file a restraining order and file criminal charges, and I explained why. Explain why I'm wrong.
