A very good sign...
Jonny , Good post, I totally agree with you . I really like the teamwork that they are showing , they are really showing alot of heart and emotion out there and also the drive to win. The only thing i worry about is the lack of run production in the first few innings of the games , don't get me wrong i do love the come from behind wins , it shows alot of fire , but we need some early runs against the better teams in the league .

New stdium
I have been to 20 plus home games this season ... (i would go to more but i live 150 miles away ), and i have yet to be rained out while i was there . I would like to know the number of games Rained out or Rain Delayed this season , to see if its cost effective to even have a retractable roof. Fry when you said that people dont come to the games because of the rain is totally wrong , ok maybe 1000 people dont come to the game because of the rain. I think the real reason people dont come to the games is because the majority of florida's population are "Out of State Transplants " , I am originally from PA. but have routed for the Marlins when they first were started in 1993 . I know this is off the subject but you know and i know there are so many damn fair weather fans in florida its disgusting .

You can blame me for the Marlins losing streak
Fellow Marlins Fans , I would like to apologize for the recent Road trip losses . the reason i am apologizing is because it is all my fault . Last week i purchased a Marlins Clinch the Wild Card Pin for my son to wear on his hat for later . I know you all are blaming me now and cussing me out as we speak and i deserve it . I unintentionally put a Hex on the Team by buying this God damn pin . Please forgive me. I Seriously took this pin and threw it into the ocean this morning , So we will be back on the winning track come tonight . Again my Deepest Apologies . -Marlinsrock

What Non-Marlin Fans think of our Transaction
Hey all , Was browsing other teams forums and found these post on our recent Transactions . His nickname on the Orioles boards I hang out at was "sHelling". I think one of his last outings he gave up 4 home runs. He was always an extremely lucky average pitcher, prone to the long ball. I'm sure Lenny's veteran presence will put the team over the top! Sad but i totally agree with these guys completely , I hope FO knows what they are doing . :thumbdown

Who should be at SS?
Fish Fillet , Thank god the Marlins have such a good fan like you . Can you imagine a stadium full of Fish Fillets ...Christ you would think you were in philly with all the booing and negativity going on in the stands . Fillet you seem pretty smart, so you should realize that if you replace a great Defensive SS with a mediocre SS ala Mordi or Fox , you will then be getting scored on alot more often , thus meaning alot more work at the plate for the batters . Im going to be MADDENesque here and say that a Great Defense most always beats a Great Offense. Example: Marlins vs Cards. way better hitting team than the Fish but their defense cant touch ours . If im not mistaken we won 2 out of 3 there . Hopefully you see what im saying here . Oh yeah i forgot Stop being so Damn negative all the time , I would hate to see you coach a little league team.

BBTN is on.... by the way
Well said AJheat , i agree totally , the guy Kurk probably lost some big bets on the marlins losing and is pissed about it . If the bookie he bets with needs someone to collect from the Kurk ill volunteer

ESPNEWS report on rookie pitching...
DownRodeo , You need to get laid your a stats homo , Probably have never played the game and if you did you probably sucked . Stats are nice to know but Christ almighty give it a rest . Everytime you post it seems you do it to put down peoples stats or cause some kind of controversy . Again word to the wise im not sure which way you swing but you definately need to get laid.

Better than the best?
WildCard , I cant believe you just said that! please tell me your not a Marlins fan . Anytime my team has a run for the wild card is special regardless what the outcome is. I have seen 25 games this year and i live almost 150 miles away . I watch this team play and im amazed at the teamwork they have . If they dont make the playoffs i will be upset but no way in hell could i say that this year hasnt been special. 97' team was less special to me than this one , not that i didnt mind my boys bringing home the World series , but my goodness did you see that payroll , reminded me of the Yankees . The Marlins of 2003 are players that are making a name for themselves here with the Marlins, Not like the 97' team who were all superstars before they got here . 2003 Marlins make me smile everytime i watch the TV or listen to some Sports commentator talk about them , i havent felt that in a long while and to me thats SPECIAL .

AJ Burnett on Outside the Lines
Burnett will not cost near as much as you think he will . No team is going to spend the money on a Pitcher who had a TJ surgery . Ill take that back .....Unless AJ comes back throwing 100 mph and winning games and being able to throw 80+ pitches a game he will go for some big bucks . i do think thats a long shot but for the marlins sake i hope to god he does .

The value of Pierre's SBs (again)
oh sorry left this out , i would bet a kings ransome Castillo wouldnt have as many runs as he does now if it werent for JPs base stealing.
-
The value of Pierre's SBs (again)
I dont understand what your trying to get at here DownRodeo , are you asking why Castillo is scoring just as many runs with alot less SBs or are you just trying to justify that Pierre's SBs are not that important? Regardless what your point is . it is clear to say that SBs have nothing to do with scoring in runs when the Batters arent moving runners home. Base stealing plays a huge part in a pitchers mind (I know first hand) being a former college pitcher , thus throwing off the pitchers game allowing for Castillo to get on more . Castillo and Pierre have almost the same runs scored thats proves what im saying.

Drew?
Im not saying pavano isnt a good starter , what im tryin to say is that we need middle relief , Pavano is one hell of a good relief pitcher , im also saying they need to keep team integrity , you all know the term "if it aint broke dont fix it ". Everyone knows that our relief situation is rough , its coming around with urbina , but it still needs help. Also im wondering why marlin fans are pushing for Rondell White , i know he is a great player but my goodness let our wonderboy play . Cabbie has been rock solid adding a great bat to the tail end of our lineup .

Drew?
Hello Brethren Marlins fans , First time poster long time reader . The only thing Marlins need is a legit Starting Pitcher , That would seal the deal with us clinching the wild card , Team Chemistry right now is amazing they would be fools to break up this happy family. Clutch hitting from the bench , Clutch hitting from the Starters, not to mention great defense , People i will say this again all we need is a starting pitcher , that puts Pavano back in middle relief where he rocks and we got ourselves a Damn good shot . :thumbup
