Highly doubt they would send a young guy If they would it might be Daniel Garcia down in Greensboro,I know the brass is high on him but he needs to work on his fielding ALOT!! Doubt Morrison,Cousins,Burns All have played alot already this year and Morrison and Burns both look they could use some rest instead of more baseball More than likely #7 would be a Marceaux,Kris Harvey,or Spike I would like it to be Daniel Garcia or better yet Jose Campusano (Not sure if he will back tho in time)

The count is 38 with Nolasco activated. A weird move getting rid of Mildren tho? If needed a spot could have moved Seddon off and see if he cleared waivers. I think they are saving 1 spot just in case some young guy falls threw(As we all Know)Alot of teams like sneaking threw good YOUNG prospects at the end of he year.

This move would be in 2009. I do not think that the Marlins really want to move from Albuquerque but I also think they would want to get closer to home base and other clubs. Like someone said Charlotte is building a new stadium so??? I have seen there complex out there and it is VERY NICE but VERY NICE if you were a team out West or Central US. It must be hard as hell when you send a guy down and have to wait a day or so just for him to get out there!!

Not sure about this,but yesterday I was talking to my buddy who runs marketing for a AA Team and he was telling me about the Marlins looking to get into Charlotte next year? I don't mean the MLB Team but the AAA team!! I know the Marlins like the place they got in NM but would you think they would trade a closer place for a newer one? Has anyone heard about this?

Well GCL lost last night 5-0 but Jameson Smith DH- 0 for 2 Mike Stanton RF- 1 for 2 and they also moved Kristhiam Linares up to Jamestown,so looks like he might get a start this weekend

Kyle Kaminska has been signed for like 2 weeks now. He has been starting for GCL team Bryan Hagerich NO ONE KNOWS about?? He was a senior so he cant go back to school but it seems like the Marlins did not sign him. Mike McCravey dont be surprised if the Marlins draft him next year. They like him but it seems his arm is still not as strong as the Marlins wanted. So they let him walk, but will be following him all next year CRAZIEST CONTRACT goes to the Washington Nats They gave Jack McGeary(first round talent but draft in 6th round) 2 million to sign. But this is the kicker- he will only pitch for the Nationals from June-August for the next 4 yrs. They signed him to a contract that says they will pay for his education at Stanford and he only has to pitch during the summer until he graduates. All I can say is WOW!! Do the Nats have that much extra cash to throw around just for the rights to a pitcher. If the Marlins had a extra 2 mil they could have signed Easterling,St Luce and a few more 16 yr old international guys.

Update!! Matt Dominguez will be get a contract between 1.7 and 1.74 mil The player they are talking to is Taiwan Easterling(Sorry I could not say before,source did not want it to get out till tonight) The reason they are talking is because the Marlins have few more dollars then they thought and since he is a 2 sport player they can break is salary up over 5 yrs Also I heard last week that they were talking about signing atleast 1 or 2 more players from the draft class. No clue about Luce?? Last I heard was he wanted ALOT ALOT more than the Marlins were offering. One guy was McCravey tho, supposedly they have taken a liken to him. Seems he messed up his arm early in the year and the Marlins worked him last week to see how he looked?? But he is a big lefty and we know that MLB teams do like Big Lefties They also made a nice offer to Virgil Hill(25,000 more than slot) but he has elected to go to school

Well it seems that Florida does not mind throwing a little more cash out then usual. Also just heard from a source of mine that the Marlins are TALKING--just TALKING to a name that everyone thought we would not get.

Guys do not worry about Dominguez. He has a contract that have worked out and was suppose to sign,however now that all these big numbers are coming out--Dominguez wants more cash. Not big amount-- hear its about 75,000-100,000 He should be signed late tonight or early tommorrow

The Signings have started!! Per BA The Marlins have agreed to terms with second-round pick Mike Stanton, and the deal will be completed once he passes a physical. Stanton signed for $475,000 as the 76th overall pick, for which the draft slot was $418,500. Stanton?s bonus will be spread over four years (though not the usual five) under MLB?s provision for multisport athletes. Stanton was one of the best athletes in the entire draft, a three-sport star at Notre Dame Academy in Sherman Oaks, Calif. He was recruited by Southern California as a wide receiver/linebacker and would have played football and baseball for the Trojans.

Not hating yet LOL Just gets little weird for example instead of leaving Jeff Gogal in AA(even though he is having a few problems) they decide to move Ben Julianel down to AA for what reason beside that they need a Lefty in the pen. There is no chance he helps the ML team in the future at least if u let Gogal stay up he can gain some experience and confidence or There are 3 or 4 decent RP in Greensboro who should and need to be moved up(, there are also a few old arms in Jamestown who could be moved up(Parcell,Alsup,Corey Madden even tho he got rocked early in the year) to replace them Just was curious who runs the show in the lower levels

Just been wondering, who makes the decision on what pitchers get moved up and down??? I am sick of seeing the Starters pitching quality games,just to see a pitcher who has no business pitching blow the game. I know in the minors it does not matter if win or loss, its more about getting guys confidence and stuff up to par. But it does alot of damage to some of these guys-mentally. Example- If you have 23 or 24 yr olds in Low A ball and they are pitching good move them up. There is no reason that a 28 or 29 yr old with a 6.00ERA in AA or A ball is gonna help the team. Move these guys up and LETS SEE WHAT THEY CAN DO!! Rather see a 23 yr old get rocked a little and then show he is learning then a 30 yr old get rocked and say whatever I gotta look for a new club next year

2 things about the trade 1 This was really a trade for a power arm in Bowyer who they expected to be there closer. 2 Personally I think the Marlins got confused when they talked about the trade. The Twins had 2 pretty decent Pitchers Scott Tyler and Scott Baker. I think that the Marlins were looking to get Baker and took Tyler instead(Only hope that was the problem) However he is a good arm,but more than likely will be gone from the organization soon.Alot of guys have passed him by(Zarate,Nestor,Molldrem,Mobley)and alot of guys are coming up that will soon be passing him by. Plus he is off the 40 man roster so!!

The reason why none of the Top 3 Marlins picks have been signed becuase they signed for more than Slot Jameson Smith signed the day after the draft and was sent to Jamestown but then MLB got involved. Mike Stanton also signed early but since he is a 2 sport guy the Marlins had to pay more as well Needless to say- All 3 Guys will be playing by Aug 13 or 14 Jameson Smith- Jamestown Mike Stanton- GCL(With move up very likely) Matt Dominguez- Jamestown(If he puts a good showing in and Greensboro is fighting for 1st-the Marlins staff might move him there)
