  1. I'll be at all three games at Dodger Stadium, so three wins there would be nice. I think I'll get to see Jose pitch, but I'll also have to suffer through Turner. I will be there on Wednesday for Jose. Possibly Monday as well.
  2. with the Marlins we can say that at least we have the Heat, with the Franchise at least we have Hard Knocks.
  3. Trying to do a different Lo Viste...Pisses me off, it is all over twitter. anyone else pissified?
  4. and apparently we should bitch about it till our heads fall off ? Who's bitching? poptart, marlinfanjoe, el penguino, Piazza31, CyggyMarlin, NOTtheILMarlins, MiamiFan95, bocajon, h2r09, jmenjes, Erick, Facebook (6), dom2613, DownRodeo, Nuts&bolts, CanesCop86, marlinsno1, pierremvp1, MiamiNative0722, Old Timer, Ashraf, anotherrealfan, floridafly, marlins2219 Wow, wow, wow, wow.. I haven't posted since the Heat won the championship
  5. Per JC Rodriguez, Frisaro and Spencer. Don't know who'll be up yet
  6. Still a very successful road trip. Big picture. This team was dead at the end of April. And look how they turned in a matter of 8 days playing all road games... No need to be concerned
  7. I said when we first obtained him that he needed time (I meant in the minors) to learn to lay off the high fastball. Now that he can do that, he is valuable. He's done that in the big leagues which is unbelievable
  8. Such a good player he's developed into, who would have imagined in late 2009 that he'd be one of the key players in the 2012 New Park ball-club (Which has high expectations). His plate discipline especially from the left side of the plate has improved leaps and bounds at the MLB level.. He deserves the true Lo Viste And I also feel like he's a great character guy in the clubhouse, Perhaps not a leader but one of those guys that helps a team be united more, maybe similar to JP or Dontrelle
  9. I didn't get to watch this game, but I'm guessing Tommy Hutton said something about Nolasco being a winner? And referencing his minor league W-L record? Someone please tell me so I can basque in the riveting analysis of the Hutt. when I bought a subscription to watch all the MLB games on my laptop a few years back I made it a point to check out all the other broadcasting duos out there for the other teams and as Marlins fans we're getting a treat with Rich and Tommy..first off, they aren't monotone...some of the announcers out there can put you to sleep. T-Hut will at least keep things lively with his rants that he'll go off on from time to time and he stays at least semi-connected with modern realties, current events, and social commentary. I wouldn't trade these two in for any other broadcasting pair out there. Amongst my friends, one who is a Yankee fan and the other a Ray fan, they would gladly agree on this point. I agree. I have mlb.tv and I cannot watch the games without Rich and Tommy, they really are great. They are awesome commentators. And what makes them great is that they are funny...and keep it real on the booth, while being appropriate. Which is kinda hard to do, and why I think a lot of other commentators are boring and dull
  10. Louie Castillo walked after the Bartman at-bat, just like LoMo. Be cool if Bartlett bobbled a grounder right here..
  11. Maybe we can trade Bell to a contender in the deadline?? If the guys has saved 40 games a year for the last 3 seasons I don't see why the red sox or the Rangers or someone like that wouldn't take him... Assuming of course that his ERA parachutes back to earth...
  12. i wouldnt mind trading for a solid outfielder and putting morrison at first and sitting gaby. though i like gaby's defense his approach and swing anger me beyond belief. i love when he just flails at a high fastball and then places his bat and helmet on the ground and makes the stupid stern face into the camera while taking off his gloves. .......and then swings at the same pitches the next time up and makes the face all over again. i wanted him gone all of last off-season. This is the same guy Mike Lowell said could "smell the rbi". my ass. HAHAHA...I've said it before he is the guy with the least swag in the MLB
  13. Ozzie on Bell: "He is my man, he is my closer, and I'm not going to change my mind" then say goodbye to any chance of a playoff team I agree complete BS, but what else is he supposed to say? if he takes him out of his role, it affects him psychologically even more. I have no problem with ozzie saying this 3 straight years with 40+ saves and you want him out because of 3 blown saves? Chillax buddy. Well right now, I and a lot of people probably would rather see Dunn take the ball in the 9th, at least these 2 weeks while Bell figures things out, but if you do that then you can get into his head and affect his confidence, which is why Ozzie is staying him put. As he should...But baseball wise it would be good if Bell got some work in non-pressured situations to come out of this funk..
  14. Awesome, you guys are truly die-hards and knowledgeable, appreciate it and I applaud for knowledge...It was a fun season...I started paying close attention while the NBA was on lockout, and kept on following the Cats...kinda reminded me of the 2006 marlins, or the 2003-2004 Heat...
  15. Don't know too much about hockey, but it seems like they need a play-maker on the wings no?? To me it seems like they rely too much on shots from the point by the defense men...Am I correct? Where is this team's biggest need, besides depth? Goal-scoring. Center is a bigger need than wing because it's simply a more important position. If we could develop a #1 center one of these years, we'd be pretty awesome. All the role players are in place. Weiss is the perfect #2 center. Goc, perfect checking line center. Bergenheim is a fantastic secondary scorer to have. Basically, our current 1st line is a 2nd line. It was good to see Kopecky and Upshall step up their game in the playoffs too because they're going to be here for awhile. Hopefully Upshall can get back to his 20-goal scoring ways next year, again; that would be a nice boost. Don't know too much about hockey, but it seems like they need a play-maker on the wings no?? To me it seems like they rely too much on shots from the point by the defense men...Am I correct? Where is this team's biggest need, besides depth? A true number 1 center has been the team's biggest need for years. As much as I love Weiss, he's a true 2nd line center. We have a couple of promising prospects coming up that could possibly fill that need. Huberdeau for instance is our top prospect, but he'll likely play wing to start his career. Bjugstad is probably our best center prospect, but he's still at least another year away. Thanks for the info...You think Huberdeau will play in the NHL next year? I imagine that Tallon won't try to fulfill this center need through free agency right? since the farm system is supposedly stacked, and it would be a tough cap-hit

  17. geee..it couldn't have anything to do with the fact he's a LOT bigger and weighs more now as he's put on a ton more muscle over the past few seasons? as someone said above...he's built like a linebacker almost lol it's not like he's blasting 40 bombs a year either

I have no problem with ozzie saying this
  19. Worst offenders: John Buck, Stanton, Gaby, and REYES (Mr. 106 Million Dollar Dud) Buck is terrible, I don't know why Hayes doesn't start more. And is there a player in baseball with less swag than Gaby Sanchez? (he's good) but sometimes I feel like he just goes through the motions.
  20. why is that?? he's not that old..how do you just stop being fast all of the sudden?
  21. Gaby Saanchez must be leading the league in hitting into Double Plays
  22. it seems like he's significantly lost speed over the last 2 years or so, any truth?
  23. yeah man stinks for LeBatard, who really addressed this issue in the media in a very very good way. Acknowledging the bombarding comments and their impact, while having some perspective and a willingness to forgive.
  24. I thought some of these were hilarious http://www.zoowithroy.com/2012/04/super-pumped-marlins-fan-guy-meme.html
