  1. wow... all our guys swinging at high garbage.... WTF? They're making this ass look like a pitcher. :banghead
  2. 13, 16, 0. We need more of those.
  3. We're looking good @ the division. Freaking Rockies have it too easy.
  4. "And yes, Sanches got the W." Thanks Rab.
  5. If you guys do a Fish of the Game I wouldn't know who to choose...Either way, awesome win tonight! Hurk had a surprisingly good game today. Who gets the win??? Burke Baden Boop??? Yeah, the Hopper gets the win. Sanches/Lindstrom get the hold, Nunez gets the save. Actually, I got this wrong, apparently. Sanches got the win. I thought the win goes to the guy that got through the 5th? Anyways, the team won, so that's all that matters. Now I'm really confused, I believe I heard on the radio it was the Hopper. Can ne1 confirm?
  6. I wish we could've added some more runs (simply for my own health and stress levels) but overall a great win! I liked watching Cameron and Stormy do well. Too bad Vandenhurk got injured since he was doing pretty well but the pen only allowed one run. I thought I was the only one!
  7. Do or die!
  8. Bonifacio needs to learn how to lay down a bunt. Just don't let him seat alone in the classroom
  9. I need some sort of recap, I only got to see Leo give up the tying run and Wes' walk off. Wow, you missed a HELL of a game, completely ridiculous for all 9 innings. Hey, blame my trig teacher man. I saw the first 3 innings, watched an hour of "I Love you Man" spent an hour studying for my test tomorrow, and only got to watch that last inning You have to redo your schedule, put "spent an hour studying for my test tomorrow" after "watch the last inning"
  10. Oh, brother!
  11. f**king disappointing.
  12. This team is better than what they have shown most of the year. A real manager would have been on his players to not have them let up. And when there was a stretch of games when it seemed umpires where were siding with the opposing team (ex. 2nd game of Colorado double header), Fredi never even got out of the dugout let alone get into umpires faces and let them have it. He doesn't use his gut but his stubborn statistics (I know that gut does not mean a win but it beats this crap). So when do you think Beinfest and Samson realize that Fredi will do no better than have a winning a season? When will they realize that so long as Fredi is the manager, this team will choke each and every year just like they are doing now? I guess you're in the same sh*tty state of frustration and somehow anger I'm in today. (And problably many of us) On the other hand I'm not pretty much a fan of Fredi's either, maybe for different reasons. That said, I believe that if by passion you mean making bolder moves, or some kind of out-of-the-book decisions I might be on your side, but honestly I also think that the only thing getting into the umps faces in those cases would do is getting Fredi's ass in the showers. Arguing with the umps over outs, strikes, and balls called is plain dumb, since that's irreversible. How could any of that save the day? Problem with that. When he does think outside the lines, or makes decisions that some fans either can't or refuse to understand, he gets nailed for it around here. Called idiotic and stupid, among other things. Fans always know better. I agree with you, when I said bolder moves, or some kind of out-of-the-book decisions is because having seen the best of two very different worlds as far as baseball is concerned I've seen some of those "crazy things" many of which really worked, the difference is that there was nothing to lose in terms of salary, position, etc. Can you imagine what would happen if any manager here gave an order like "From now on and untill I say otherwise everybody bunts, no matter what, no matter who"? I think that even if it worked that manager would be crucified. So I don't recommend that to Fredi or no one else.
  13. There's also something terrible that happens if Fredi gets ejected... ...Carlos Tosca takes over.

  15. I don't know how we can say Ricky had a bad game. He managed to make in into the 6th despite waiting almost an hour between the 1st inning and the 2nd. He gave up 3 runs, 6 hits, and 7 Ks. More like a bad inning. It really becomes more frustrating though, when you consider the lineups the pitchers are facing. I mean Adrian Gonzalez wasn't even in the lineup tonight. Kyle Blanks wasn't in it, either. Ricky was, basically, facing an AAA lineup. Exactly what I was thinking, not a bad game, only a very unfortunate one if you look at the team he was throwing against. Very frustrating though.
  16. These Marlins are so damn confusing and ass-backwards sometimes that I wouldnt be shocked if they seriously swept the Phillies and Braves from here on out. These Fish seemingly love to overachieve against the heavy hitters but forget to pack their spinach when it comes time to face the low level teams that we "should" be beating. I'm with you on that one, my only problem is the shape our pitching staff is in, other than that I keep my hopes high.
  17. I agree with Erick, it's rather frustrating, we should have gained 2 or 3 games this week, and the show is not over yet, here goes West tomorrow and only God knows. On the other hand, if the freaking Mets' hospital and the worst-batting team on the league beat us like this, imagine what's ahead. 4 games against the f**king braves and soon the Phillies. Cross your fingers and hope for a miracle.
  18. Yes! Bring Penny back! I hate it when it happens, ('cause it happens when we're in deep sh*t) but that picture is darn funny
  19. Bring him in, pleeeeeease!!!
  20. Why would we bench Hermida now, when he's having his best month of the season? Erik, how has his best month of the season contributed to the cause? What does that even mean? You're saying his .333/.443/.491 line in August has meant absolutely nothing to this team? Funny, if any other hitter puts up those #'s, we consider them great. When it's Hermida, it sucks. A .934 .OPS means that you've had a positive impact on the team. Hermida has that this month. I can understand not liking the guy, but at least notice that he's not doing bad, right now. He made a miscue tonight that cost us a run on the field. ONE miscue. Take it easy...he's the least of our problems right now. As a matter of fact, this team has one major problem right now, and it is called "consistent starting pitching." THAT hasn't happened all year. I apologize for the time it's taking for me to reply, this connection @ my job place is sh*t! I should assume you've seen me posting "I like the guy" about twice today, so there's no disliking him on this side, but I can't help but suffering every time he comes at bat with men aboard. OPS is a beautiful thing, but my questions are much more simple. Are you comfortable with him in those circumstances? How many has he brougt home? How many has he LOB? How many times is he striked-out? And so on... True he's shown signs of improvement this month, I guess the problem might be that we expect more of him, excuse me but I don't see the production. I wish I could vote him FOTG from time to time, I honestly like him, he has a hell of a potential, but I don't see it coming together. I respect your opinions (All of you) but I don't see what we're gaining with his best month of the season. I agree he's the least of or probs right now, but I know he COULD help the Marlins a lot, I just don't see it happening. As for today's game I'd trade him for a box of new balls! This kid is gonna give me a heart attack!
  21. Lol, sorry. As for benching Hermida, I think that doesn't solve anything. We benched him last season, and look at the results. Are you saying that probably the biggest slump in his carreer is due to benching him last season? What would it be your solution then? Keep him there playing a fairly lousy LF and not hitting a watermelon? Maybe trust him to pinch (As Fredi has) with two outs and bases loaded only to add 3 more to his LOB list? Dude, I already said I like the guy, you may love him, but for Pete's sake something has to be done with him, and then again is not only my illiterate opinion. No. I am saying benching him trying to light a fire under his ass so he can play better is not going to work. We tried it last season, and he didn't improve. Also, why the hell do you want to bench him now, when he's playing well. Really well. He has a .934 OPS in the month of August. I told you my solution. Platoon. And he plays in RF. I literally think you just replied to my post and didn't read it at all. You're the one who sated "We benched him last season, and look at the results". What should I understand by "the results"?

Dude, I already said I like the guy, you may love him, but for Pete's sake something has to be done with him, and then again is not only my illiterate opinion. First off, he's not the LF'er. Second, he's had a great month. Sorry, RF, my bad. As for the great month, what do we owe him this month?

  25. It's not an error b/c the ball never touched his glove...not b/c the official scorer felt sorry for him or something. He misplayed a ball...for what it's worth, Cody Ross did the same thing a couple of innings after, only he was fortunate to catch his. Well, lets call it a BIG misplay. And true, the same didn't hapen to Cody by a hair.
