August 30, 200917 yr That might be the bright side, but it's also easily the most frustrating part, as well. We're facing 2 really bad teams; I'm not saying win all of the games, but at least take 2 of the last 3 (instead of losing all 3), and we're sitting 2 games back in the loss column. Instead, it's 4 games back in the loss column, terrible SP against really bad hitting teams, and an overtaxed bullpen. If any team could really use September callups, it's the Marlins.
August 30, 200917 yr That's actually a bad thing, IMO. We should be closer to the Rockies, but we keep losing. Really frustrating.
August 30, 200917 yr I agree with Erick, it's rather frustrating, we should have gained 2 or 3 games this week, and the show is not over yet, here goes West tomorrow and only God knows. On the other hand, if the freaking Mets' hospital and the worst-batting team on the league beat us like this, imagine what's ahead. 4 games against the f**king braves and soon the Phillies. Cross your fingers and hope for a miracle.
August 30, 200917 yr These Marlins are so damn confusing and ass-backwards sometimes that I wouldnt be shocked if they seriously swept the Phillies and Braves from here on out. These Fish seemingly love to overachieve against the heavy hitters but forget to pack their spinach when it comes time to face the low level teams that we "should" be beating.

I'm with you on that one, my only problem is the shape our pitching staff is in, other than that I keep my hopes high.

I agree that the whole thing is frustrating, but when I say looking on the bright side, it's really the only way to look at it. The fact is we already lost the first 2 to the Padres and we can't change that, the only thing we can hope is the Rockies keep losing and they lost their first 2. 4.5 games out with close to 1.5 months left in the season is not something crazy to overcome. We're still in this and we need to play till the end. Heck we all saw what happened to the Mets a couple of years ago. What was it, like a 9 game lead with 17 to play and they lost it. So 4.5 is nothing at all.
August 30, 200917 yr On the bright side, all this will be over in just over a month and there will be no more suffering. :banghead
August 30, 200917 yr On the bright side, all this will be over in just over a month and there will be no more suffering. Oh how wrong you are. There will be plenty more suffering through the NFL and soccer seasons.

August 30, 200917 yr Too bad The Rockies are winning right now. A game up on The Roxs would really do us some good.

That's not something I said even when we were losing 100+, let alone 3 games back of the wildcard, with a little over a month left. I know chances don't look good right now b/c of our rotation, but at the end of the day, 3 out with a month left is not an insurmountable task.

I never said I can't wait for it to be over, I said that it will be over. Learn to read and comprehend, Erick.
