It's amazing how bad the Mets are even after spending $145 million on salary. Wow...

 

 

 

Well to be fair, $90 million of that payroll is on the DL, and as recently as our last series they were starting an $11 million starting lineup.

 

But yes, the Mets have a history of spending their money very badly.

Our record is currently 75-65....10 games over .500, tying the "high water" mark for the year(remember 11-1 ??)....

we were 46-44 at all star break....low point was 19-25(TB loss 5/23)

quite a roller coaster this year....and it's not over yet...

Chris Coghlan now has the highest OPS for a rookie with .829.

 

 

McCutchen previously was in the lead I think. Just add it to another category that he is leading.

 

Coghlan is definitely the frontrunner in the NL from batters side. I wonder if people will vote Tommy Hanson or J.A. Happ though. I say if we keep making our run and the Braves fall out, then Hanson won't get as much consideration. And Happ is injured right now I think, so this is all helping Coghlan.
