Hanley 0/4 tonight with a K :laughpurple it was bound to happen. At home or away? At home. Still batting .333 with a +1.000 OPS for the Dodgers though. So a game like this was coming. I don't want him to fail but I heard so much sh*t from other fans that we got destroyed in the trade that I want him to fail just to shut them all up... Is that petty? :shrugs Actually he's batting .280 with an .877 OPS.

I don't believe this thread really makes any compelling points, but if one really wants to be critical of the management of our team, one only has to look at our record for the last five seasons or so. And the fact that they haven't made the playoffs in 8 years, soon to be 9. Since 2004 the only NL teams to not make the playoffs are the Pirates, Nationals, and the Marlins; and the the Pirates and Nationals both have pretty decent chances at making the playoffs this year. The clock is definitely ticking for the Marlins FO. Considering the bad contracts, the bad trade, and the lack of farm system depth, if the Marlins fail to make the playoffs in the next couple of years I see no reason why this FO deserves to keep their jobs. I'm not as harsh about the FO as I once was but yea I agree 100% enough of this, win or get new people.

Gorkys Hernandez can't muster a .700 OPS in the minors, and in the majors has 2 hits in 26 AB's. Other than the Anibal/Infante trade, every trade the Marlins have made have been giving away players when their value is at its absolute lowest point. i wanted gaby gone in the offseason too. mujica got good value as well. but i agree. I don't really think we've lost any trades yet though even with them being low value, maybe this one, but the draft pick is good.
