  1. Kick my ass please! Sorry, Admin already used that one at Shea.
  2. Just in case you need a laugh: Remember it takes a college degree to fly A plane, but only a high school diploma to fix one. After every flight, UPS pilots fill out a form, called a "gripe sheet," which tells mechanics about problems with the aircraft. The mechanics correct the problem, document their repairs on the form, and then the pilots review the gripe sheets before the next flight. Never let it be said that ground crews lack a sense of humor. Here are some actual maintenance complaints submitted by UPS pilots and the solutions recorded by maintenance engineers. By the way, UPS is the only major airline that has never, ever, had an accident. Pilot: Left inside main tire almost needs replacement. Maintenance: Almost replaced left inside main tire. Pilot: Test flight OK, except auto-land very rough. Maintenance: Auto-land not installed on this aircraft. Pilot: Something loose in cockpit Maintenance: Something tightened in cockpit Pilot: Dead bugs on windshield. Maintenance: Live bugs on back-order. Pilot: Autopilot in altitude-hold mode produces a 200 feet per minute descent Maintenance: Cannot reproduce problem on ground. Pilot: Evidence of leak on right main landing gear. Maintenance: Evidence removed. Pilot: DME volume unbelievably loud. Maintenance: DME volume set to more believable level. Pilot: Friction locks cause throttle levers to stick. Maintenance: That's what friction locks are for. Pilot: IFF inoperative in OFF mode. Maintenance: IFF always inoperative in OFF mode. Pilot: Suspected crack in windshield. Maintenance: Suspect you're right. Pilot: Number 3 engine missing. Maintenance: Engine found on right wing after brief search. Pilot: Aircraft handles funny. Maintenance: Aircraft warned to: straighten up, fly right, and be serious. Pilot: Target radar hums. Maintenance: Reprogrammed target radar with lyrics. Pilot: Mouse in cockpit. Maintenance: Cat installed. And the best one for last.................. Pilot: Noise coming from under instrument panel. Sounds like a midget pounding on something with a hammer. Maintenance: Took hammer away from midget Well, you have to see the funny side of life when you're working for a living.
  3. Does he use bats with different weights? 32 oz. bat for when his shoulder is bothering him and he needs a lighter bat, 34 oz when he feels just fine? Just a thought.
  4. Why would I search when theres probably someone else who knows. Sad. Lazy. Becoming SO typical.
  5. Jon is lying. You only have one star due to obvious incorrect spelling such as "now" instead of "know". Improve the spelling and grammar of your posts to gain more stars. Chewy, you're scaring me. That is the type of post I would have made a few years ago...until I finally gave up on people 'noeing how tu spel.'

A little late with this, but for anyone interested during the summer re-run time: June 12, 2007 "JERICHO" RETURNS TO CBS ON JULY 6 Rebroadcasts From the First Season to Air Fridays at 9:00 PM, ET/PT For the Remainder of the Summer JERICHO, CBS's drama about how residents of a small, peaceful, Kansas town band together to survive in the wake of a nuclear explosion, will return to the Network beginning Friday, July 6 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT). Rebroadcasts of episodes from the first season will air in the Friday, 9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT time period for the remainder of the summer. JERICHO, which last week received a seven episode mid-season order following an impassioned display of fan support, will return on July 6 with a rebroadcast of the pilot episode. On July 13, CBS will present back-to-back broadcasts beginning with "Return to Jericho" (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT), which recapped the first 11 episodes, followed by episode 12, "The Day Before" (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT), which launched "Jericho's" spring return. The remaining summer broadcasts will consist of episodes 13?22, in which tensions continue to escalate between Jericho and the neighboring town of New Bern as they battle the Kansas winter, dwindling resources and the uncertainty of a new world. The citizens of Jericho must now find a way to unite against these hardships, working together to preserve their community and their way of life as they prepare for an all out battle for survival in the season finale. Jon Turteltaub, Stephen Chobsky and Carol Barbee are executive producers of JERICHO for CBS Paramount Network Television. 16. A little more... 06/13/2007 8:33 PM ET Notes: Burnett to skip next start Right-hander undergoes additional MRI exam Wednesday By Jordan Bastian / MLB.com SAN FRANCISCO -- Toronto manager John Gibbons insists he isn't too worried about A.J. Burnett's latest injury, but the Blue Jays still plan on being cautious with the pitcher. On Wednesday, Gibbons said Burnett would skip his next scheduled start and he was optimistic a trip to the disabled list wasn't necessary. "He's fine," said Gibbons, following Toronto's 7-4 win over San Francisco at AT&T Park on Wednesday. "He'll miss one start. He doesn't need to go on the DL, we don't think." On Tuesday night, Burnett exited his outing against the Giants in the fifth inning after feeling pain in his right shoulder. The initial test performed by the Jays' medical staff revealed a mild strain, but the 30-year-old right-hander underwent an additional MRI exam at a hospital in San Francisco. The second test confirmed Toronto's evaluation of the injury. Given the early indications Tuesday, Burnett sounded as hopeful as Gibbons that he'd be able to avoid his ninth career trip to the disabled list. "I've thrown a lot here recently, so maybe I'm a little tired," Burnett said after Tuesday's outing. "I may need another day off -- miss a start or something. We don't know. All the tests were negative, so we're just going to get it checked out to make sure. I'm not too worried about it." Burnett left the game after throwing 82 pitches in 4 2/3 innings. He said the shoulder issue might simply be a case of fatigue, considering he threw 372 pitches over his previous three trips to the mound. For the season, Burnett is 5-6 with a 4.00 ERA and 100 strikeouts in 90 innings over 14 starts. Originally, Burnett was scheduled to start next Sunday, when Toronto hosts Washington in the finale of a three-game Interleague series. Gibbons said that right-hander Josh Towers, who recently moved back into the rotation after a stint as a reliever, will replace Burnett for the outing against the Nationals. Blue Jays/MLB

Sure, I think it would be great to have more than one organization losing my mail.
  19. The lake received 0.35" of rain yesterday, but it has not translated to much of a rise. In fact, it may have dropped just a tad (or just may not have shown up at the recording site as of yet.)
  20. 8.96 and dropping. At this point, it will take multiple tropical systems sitting over the area for days at a time bring it back toward the 12 - 13 ft level.

  25. It will probably get just over 9 feet. Last night's satellite reading came back as 8.99 ft.
