Teal Shadow
Bring Tejera up from AAA, send Oliver to the bullpen.Leave Wayne in the bullpen Leave Easley at SS, until Gonzo decide to go to RF and stop trying to pull everything. If they don't want to start Easley everyday, then start him when Castro in the line-up. That way the bottom of the order isn't 3up/3down. *trades that looked to be on the horizon, if things don't change A clutch hitter!!!! Has Pudge been missed? I would say so... A set-up guy, if Fox is out for a long period of time I understand its still early...The Marlins are still in first place, but I see serious problems down the road. This home stand is huge with both NL west leading team in town.

FreshFish
A clutch hitter!!!! Has Pudge been missed? I would say so... hmm, I don't get this. we need arms, not bats. The offense is doing the job fine.

TSwift25
...and who would we get as a "hitter" I mean, outside of catcher and SS, I don't see anyone we could really sit for a replacement. Pudge isn't coming back, and Gonzo's our guy so until we play with a DH, I don't see where we're going to put this hitter...

First off its the lefties that give Tejera trouble righties were batting .222 against him. If it were up to me I'd bring up Trevor Hutchinson instead, but seeing the team will bring up experience over a inexperience rookie. Tejera appears to be the guy, plus you replace a lefty with a lefty.
FreshFish
I would like to see Tejera up and one of our bench players being traded for a strong reliever. Tejera is going to be hungry and happy to be back in the big show, plus he has very strong work ethics and it is a hard worker.

The Marlins called in the winter, so...I don't think Redmond is the answer all year. Castro needs AB somewhere else. Of course nothing this big is going to happen right now, but its something to keep an eye on during the summer. JMO

Teal Shadow
Also send Bump down and give Howard a chance. You need another guy in bullpen that can bring some heat to get more swing and misses. Or go out and get Riedling from the Reds. Changes need to made, too many soft tosser in the pen right now. We need a better mix.
FutureGM
I wish we could have had Helling for that game where Willis gave up 7 runs in one inning, and we didn't really have any good options for long relief.

We are getting plenty of run support when facing #5 pitchers....but the guys just can't overcome 8 or so runs given up by Oliver. I don't see a place for Oliver on the team at all. Wouldn't want to see him in long relief or in late innings....so the best option is to just release him. Wouldn't mind seeing Easley get a few more starts in a row.....and can always bring Gonzo in for defense late in the game like today. Bump does not have the intestinal fortitude to make it in late innings. He wilts when placed in tough situations. How many times over the past two days has he got 2 strikes and couldn't finish the deal? He doesn't have a good out pitch.

TSwift25
i say we deal for renteria, send gonzo and a prostpect or two that's not all that far fetched. It takes a lot of ifs, but here they are: StL has to be 100% certain they cannot sign him long-term and 100% out of the race by the deadline. We have to be 100% certain that we can resign him after the season ends. We have to be willing to part with Gonzo and probably 2 blue chip prospects (something we're short of after the Conine and Urbina deals). My thinking is that Gonzo and Stokes won't be enough to get the Cardinals to bite and that much more (Hermida?) would be crippling to our farm system. I want it to happen, but I don't see how it can...

St louis is pretty short on OF talent, so maybe we coudl work, Gonzo and Nunez and a prospect, if you are serious about what you say

St louis is pretty short on OF talent, so maybe we coudl work, Gonzo and Nunez and a prospect, if you are serious about what you say Edmonds and Sanders isn't exactly "short" on OF talent, not to mention that Pujols is capable of being out there if they get a decent first baseman. Renteria is arguably the best SS in baseball now that ARod is a third baseman. No one combines his mix of power, high average and stellar defense, it'll take a lot more than Nunez and Gonzalez...
