June 2, 200422 yr The Pistons will fight, but they will not have enough to win. Their bench is better than the Lakers, but the Shaq factor is everything. They will not have enough to stop Shaq and the rest of the Lakers offense.

June 2, 200422 yr I think the Pistons can hang around for a while. If they can sneak a win in LA they'll get confident & it'll go 6. Campbell, Okur, Williamson, they've got a few guys who can bang around with Shaq & at least use up a pile of fouls. And though they don't have any high scorers, almost everyone CAN score. I hope Rasheed Wallace makes Malone look about 50 years old out there. I think Detroit will surprise some people. I don't think they'll win, but I'm pulling for 'em!

June 3, 200422 yr I really want to see the Pistons pull it off cause I hate the Lakers, but I dont know if it can be done. I think they will put up more of a fight than most "experts" think they will but may not have enough to pull it off but you never know.
June 3, 200422 yr I agree with the Lakers in 6...The Pistons will win in Detroit, but that is about it. They MIGHT steal a game on the road, but that will be very tough considering how well the Lakers are playing in LA. Oh, and the Lakers have faced defense. It was the Spurs, who also had the privilege of having an offense that can score.
June 3, 200422 yr The Pistons are the weakest team LA will have faced in the Playoffs thus far. Plus, haven't we seen this before - like every year of the finals in what seems like forever? Eastern team is "scrappy" and "shouldn't be taken for granted." The Eastern team plays good D and is solid... Then they get lucky to win a game. Yawn. I may revise my prognostication to Lakers in 2.
