June 20, 200422 yr In the future, Cabrera will probably become a #3, but right now you can only ask so much for him to do...
June 20, 200422 yr Stop with all the Conine fanboyism. We don't need a bat? Yeah, right. Conine is batting..what? .270? Its decent...its Encarnacion-like He hits like s*** in the clutch, but hey, he isn't the only one f***ing up The lineup needs a change..and not just a change to get things going..a change thats permanent for the rest of the season

June 20, 200422 yr I bet you if we offer Arizona 1 of our top prospects along with maybe Nunez and one of our young relievers. (Bump, Neu, Gracesqui) We could get the D-Backs to eat a big portion of Finley's remaining contract, which would only be about 3.5 million if we were to trade for him.
June 20, 200422 yr Author We don't need a bat. We can't afford one anyway. The answer is a lineup designed to get the best production out of everyone. Your right Lowell should bat leadoff :lol J/K Who do you move down or up? Choi doesn't make enough contact to be a 3# hole hitter. Split the combo at the top? I don't see it. :confused

Castro was doing better than that.

I think we could take on a good part of 3.5 million and get Finley..I don't think that would be a problem...But it might not be necessary I beg McKeon to move Lowell and Cab to the 4th and 5th spots

Finley is not coming to east coast. He'll stay on the west coast with his no trade clause. If he gets moved its to SD.

June 20, 200422 yr You put together Finley's numbers against righties and Conine's numbers against lefties and you have yourself one hell of a player.

June 20, 200422 yr We have the tools, we just need to use them right. JP needs a good two or three days off to rest, and so does Cabs. They look like racoons out there, my mother was commenting on it tonight and it was really noticable. Get these guys in bed early and get them rested.

June 20, 200422 yr I was thinking...Redmond always makes good contact... Goes the other way into the red zone.... Hits for decent average Could he do the job?
June 20, 200422 yr I was thinking...Redmond always makes good contact... Goes the other way into the red zone.... Could he do the job? Choi is better because imagine a lefty-righty-lefty matchup? Or an all lefty leadoff 3?

June 20, 200422 yr Remember when people used to cry because we didn't have a lefty only guy other than JP? We do now in Choi and should use him. When will Jack bat him third.
June 20, 200422 yr I'd like to see Choi hit third. Castillo Gonzalez Choi Lowell Cabrera Conine Pierre Redmond/Treanor Pitcher thats my lineup...except with pierre and castillo at the top I like Sea Bass at the top right now. Change his mindset. Put JP lower so he can get on base for Red/Treanor who hit well with RISP and start rallies. dont you want your better bats getting more AB per game? logic. use it.
