June 27, 200422 yr absolutely not. darren oliver is horrible. willis, burnett, beckett, penny, pavano.. 4 of 5 are healthy.. beckett back by mid july hopefully.. pavano pitching out of his mind, penny seems to be back, burnett is pitching better. dontrelle is dontrelle.. darren oliver is not the answer. i really don't know who, or how to fix it, but he just doesn't cut it. they should go get clement back for real cheap. ;0

June 27, 200422 yr At the risk of being eaten alive, I will say... ...if ANYbody else other than Michael Tejera pitched the exact same outing, most of you would not be complaining. Especially Beckett or Wayne. Of course, the way things are going with him lately, I bet Beckett probably wouldn't have been able to go 4 innings without hurting himself. But, staying more on topic, Oliver has been doing the job in the bullpen, so I think he should stay there.
June 27, 200422 yr I would start Darren Oliver again. Tejera wasnt THAT bad at all, but Oliver has been improving specially out of the bullpen. I think he can overcome all his starts this season and rebuild of them.

Tejera wasn't even doing well in AAA when he was called up. Leading the team in dingers allowed and tons of walks. Bad ump? Yeah right. Tejera sucks.
