why why why why why why why does McKeon make Choi bunt the damn ball?

Choi is hitting .330+ his last 20 games

you really sucked tonight Jack, use your freakin head

with a struggling offense you DO NOT give away outs

especially with gonzalez and redmond coming up

I'm still pissed. Jack is sucking worst than the pen

I understand the move, but I don't agree with it. Jack should just retire after the All Star Game. We need a spark, and that may be it.

I thought everyone wanted small ball?

What the F**K does Choi has to do to earn some respect?

worst could happen was a DP, moving the running to 3rd base!

idiotic.

take the bat out of the hands of your best hitter left & leave the game in the hands of your weakest 2 hitters.

Sea Bass has no discipline at the plate.

Don't agree with this one at all. I'd be pissed if I was Choi. He had pretty good at-bats all night.

Brilliance.... :banghead

It's called moving the tying run into scoring position

You don't play small ball like that. You don't give away outs in the bottom of the ninth when you are trailing.

I am so pissed over this move.

It's called, removing the bat out of your hottest hitter and giving the opposition an out.

choi cant even bunt!!!!

The runner would move to third but it wouldn't matter. We needed 2 runs. A DP would have killed us (we died anyways). I'm sure that was part of Jack's thinking.

I am so pissed over this move.

:violin move on and get over it. thats how baseball is played. u dont expect to have anyone hit a homer or extra base hit. u play the statistics and chances are better with ur next 2 hitters gettin base hits than 1 player gettin an extra base hit

Choi bunted the ball well.

i think Admin should remove the "in jack we trust" slogan, because I sure as hell dont trust in him

choi cant even bunt!!!!

in a way, thats a good point. jack usually doesnt even trust choi to bunt in crucial situations.

Every manager in baseball would have done the same thing

Even Tommy Hutton was shocked over this one

Every manager in baseball would have done the same thing

Bobby Cox wouldn't have.

I am so pissed over this move.

not when the player you had bunt is hitting over .300 the last couple of weeks and the 2 guys behind him are hitting under .200.

Normally, I don't agree with sacrifice bunting, but I think it was the right move here. The Marlins have grounded into a ton of double plays. We have grounded into so many that it is in the player's heads. They are just trying not to hit ground balls. ou need to get out of that situation. Mckeon was trying to relieve some pressure.

Plus, it gave us two opportunities to tie the game with one hit. If you don't bunt, you need at best 2 of the next 5 guys to get singles to tie the game (because no one at the bottom of the order has the ability to get extra base hits). At least this way you had a 1 in 2 chance to tie the game. .5 is better than .4. Plus, we would have been completely relying on choi if we don't bunt. If he doesn't come through then you need back to back hits from agon and redmond. With as pathetic as the Marlins bottom of the lineup is, you have to try and do everything possible to increase the odds.

It's time to fire Jack.

He's not getting the best out of his players, controlling the clubhouse or winning games on the field.

HAve you noticed that Choi isn't a ground out hitter :plain

when is jack ever gonna have some damn faith in choi? first, no play vs lefties and now not even a chance to let us win this game

sure it'd be a risk to let him swing away but having agon and redmond decide the game was enough of a risk as well.

err
