July 21, 200422 yr With the non-waiver trade deadline set for July 31, the Marlins have been exploring options. They are believed to have contacted the Tigers about catcher Brandon Inge, but Detroit said they weren't interested in dealing him. The Marlins are also believed to have offered Nunez to the Giants, who declined. There is also growing speculation that the Marlins may be inquiring about obtaining outfielder Carlos Beltran from the Astros.

If we can get one of their bullpen arms too without giving up anymore top prospects I think it would be worth it.
