July 23, 200422 yr Where the option for Futbol? You might want to change the topic to the best sport league in America. Best sport league in America is of course the NFL. Miami has the Dolphins, The greatest football team! We take the ball from goal to goal, Like no one's ever seen! We're in the air, We're on the ground, We're always in control. So when you say Miami, You're talking Super Bowl! (Chorus 1) Cause we're the Miami Dolphins, Miami Dolphins, Miami Dolphins Number 1. (Chorus 2) Yes we're the Miami Dolphins, Miami Dolphins, Miami Dolphins Number
July 23, 200422 yr football is the best sport, IMO (there's no sense in arguing, since this all opinion only)... but I like MLB better than NFL... nothing in my mind compares with college football....or high school football for that matter....i'm sporting wood just thinkin about college football season.
July 23, 200422 yr I put MLB just because its the national pasttime. I think it has way too much history in this country to be competed with. However, football is in our bloods now and it is badass.
July 24, 200422 yr Baseball, the game has been our darling for so many years and many other countries have discovered and made it theirs as well. Baseball reflects the American values in everyday life. You get up the next day and go out there again.
July 24, 200422 yr I like the sport during whatever season it is. sports rule. but if i had to choose one, id choose football.
July 24, 200422 yr football is the best sport, even though baseball is my fav. but football is still a better & more exiting sport. i dont really know how to explain it........
July 24, 200422 yr Professionaly - MLB College - Basketball 472795 Dude, college basketball sucks ass compared to college football. :plain College basketball is just a place where good players can play one year and get a higher signing bonus. Although the players in college play their hearts out which makes for good drama, but college b-ball is not the same as it was 10 years ago.
July 24, 200422 yr Professionaly - MLB College - Basketball 472795 I agree with Passion. And I'm sure if he wasn't a fan of Duke and was not a current student at Texas A&M he would agree that there's nothing better than a New Year's Day full of bowl games. Baseball > Soccer > Lacrosse > Basketball > Football >>>>> Hockey
July 24, 200422 yr Yeah, see I go to UF, therefore I look at college football on a brighter note than say, a sucky Maryland program.
July 24, 200422 yr Yeah, see I go to UF, therefore I look at college football on a brighter note than say, a sucky Maryland program. 472916 What are you talking about anyways? UF is a basketball school. Just ask some Canes and 'Noles fans. Maryland's getting back to what they were back in the 50s and 70s. The game has changed a lot. Speed is now more important than strength and skills, and only the Florida schools and a very few others have that speed. Seriously, man, I grew up in a land where the leaves change colors and it snows until February. There's more to life than football and spring football, and baseball to fill the time between the two. Lacrosse and soccer are two very fun sports, and ACC basketball is a thousand times better than any SEC saturday afternoon.

But dude, college basketball doesn't compare to college football. It's not even close. Have you ever been to a UF-Tenn football game? Or a UF-FSU football game? Or have you ever seen the Terps play FSU in football? There is no way in hell that college basketball approaches the level of 90k yelling fans. There is tailgating before football games. There are so many more traditions before the game in football. Plus, college b-ball has turned into the minor leagues of the NBA, where only the high schoolers that can't go to the pros play one or two years. The talent level has dropped off so significantly. And you can't say I like football better because of the fact that UF is bad at basketball, because UF has competed on the national level in basketball. They may not be as prestigious as Duke or UNC or even Maryland. But they're good enough to play in some games with national implications. Bottomline, college football destroys college basketball. Even in the ACC.
July 24, 200422 yr Iowa, you're right...it isnt limited to the South... but if you go to an SEC college, or a college in the South, you KNOW college football is #1. Well, almost any school....if you go to UNC or Duke, then college football doesn't mean half as much as college bball.... but even Kentucky would probably rate college football over college basketball.... And just because Florida has had back to back 8-5 seasons, doesn't make it a basketball school. They could go 0-12 this season, and still be packin 90k in there the next year.....it was packed when I went to see pre-Spurrier games in the 80s (yah, losin to Memphis State--now called Memphis). Florida will ALWAYS be a football school. Even if football goes 0-12, and basketball goes undefeated and wins it all....
July 24, 200422 yr Or have you ever seen the Terps play FSU in football? 473015 Yes, and MD/NC State, MD/West Virginia and MD/Virginia They can't match a game between Maryland and Duke, or Maryland and UNC. Or MD/Johns Hopkins or Navy lacrosse.
