June 23, 200323 yr US 27 and Okeechobee is available and for sale. New MetroRail Line to built along turnpike with stop at that exit, Turnpike and US 27 for easy travel from everywhere and existing Palmetto MetroRail station can have express bus to ballpark until new line is built WIN-WIN! Close to Broward and Palm Beach via US 27 and still in Dade. Loria and Penelas need to show the people the $$$$$$ and they will approve it. 58% of all South Floridians in a South Florida Biz Journal study claim to be Marlins Fans. In 2000, the City of Hialeah passed the permission to build a Marlins Ballpark without being asked, so people will vote for it. LET THE PEOPLE DECIDE! (They will vote yes) Then let HOK build it and the MArlins play in it. Peace returns to our "evil empire" and perfect for those Fish Fans up north who use US Highway 27 to go to Miami because they don't want to pay the tolls on the Turnpike, almost $12 to Miami... :mischief

June 23, 200323 yr Author The Arizona Diamondbacks could get Bank One Ballpark because it is multi-purpose. It can house MLB, college football, and college basketball easily and frequently. The lay a new field for the football, so no diamond is visible on the field. If the Marlins and UM combine forces they could get something similar. Visit the BOB Website for pictures, It is amazing how nice it looks, but we could do better. The Government must sell bonds. In government class you will learn that bonds are just simply loan promises that you must pay interest on to investors. It is used frequently. The government down here would be happy to do it if they can find a way to pay them off. Usually the lease of skyboxes, ticket sales tax, and a local sales tax are used to pay these off. The team must pay rent and maintain the stadium, but they would save money compared to the PPS deal they have now.

June 23, 200323 yr Author Here is the "BOB" Site Link http://www.bankoneballpark.com/about/index.asp Look at the Seating Configurations and Photo Gallery for illustrations. This could be done better by HOK i believe, with more football seats for Canes games.
