June 22, 200323 yr we do have a sponsor.....Pro Player.....I'm sure we would get another one. I doubt that is the problem. Heck, Louisville's football stadium has a sponsor (Papa Johns Stadium). The only pro teams' stadiums without sponsors are the teams that dont want one because of history (Yankee Stadium, Wrigley Field). Alllllll stadiums have em. I hope it doesnt come into college sports.

June 22, 200323 yr Stadium naming sponsors have nothing to do with the building or financing of a stadium. They only attach a name to a stadium after it has been built for a couple million a year. And speaking of Pro Player, that company has been out of business for several years, so the owners of the stadium no longer even get money from the naming rights. I dont know why it took them so long, but there going after a new sponsor in time for the upcoming football season. Ive heard the leading candidate is Celebrity Cruises.

You could raise a good few Million just from fund raisers, and the county has money. Henry wanted to put i in Boca originally (Blu Lake/IBM/T-Rex property), but decided against it. They could always try and put it in West Boca. There is pleny of land, and it isn't governed by a city, but by the county, which might make it easier to get funding. And you know, I would settle for an open stadium... Who cares about rain? The PNC Park was built for $350 Million, which ain't that much... Just a thought...

June 22, 200323 yr I don't know... Miami hasn't proved that they support the team, and the people up here in Broward, Palm Beach, and some other northern counties showed-up for ST... I think it would draw better if it were more northern than where it is now...
