Tommy Hutton

Fox Sports Net chose not to exercise a two-year option on Marlins analyst Tommy Hutton's contract, but Hutton said FSN and the team told him they want to keep him. Hutton said he was told his option was not picked up because Fox Sports Net wants Hutton and Len Kasper on a new pay system next year.

Under the current arrangement, the Marlins pay the announcers, and Fox Sports Net reimburses the team, Hutton said. Under the new system, FSN will pay the announcers directly.

''It's no problem at all,'' Hutton said.

Asked about his interest in keeping Hutton, FSN general manager Jeff Genthner said, ``We'll sit down and talk to Tommy when the season is over.''

I worked for Genthner a few years back... good guy

I hope they keep Hutton

if they don't keep hutton it would be a crime. he's awesome.

Fox loves the duo of Hutton and Kasper, he will be back

Who wouldnt? Len and Tommy do a great job. The only broadcasters I'd consider over our two are the CWS pair.

You can put it on the board.....YES! :lol

This is just something that needed to be done. Both Tommy and FSN seem happy, but FSN just wants to pay Len and Tommy directly instead of having the team paying them with FSN paying the team back. Everything should be fine.

i REALLY hope they stay they're awesome and make the game more exciting, they're also halarious they should really stay

Good, I like Tommy Hutton, think he does a great job. When SC or ESPNEWS is showin highlights its always great to hear him screaming in the background

Bad annoncers can really ruin a game and to have two guys other than Kasper and Hutton may ruin the Marlins experience. KEEP HUTTON!!

The Ape Zagaki should take over. Minervini is cool to. Ever see "Marlins Go Batty"? That stuff is off da chain!

Oh man I LOVE the CWS announcers

I remember watching SC once when the CHW hit 6 HR's in a game against the phillies and it went like this:

"You can PUT IT ON THE BOARD...

You can PUT IT ON THE BOARD...

You can PUT IT ON THE BOARD...

You can PUT IT ON THE BOARD...

You can PUT IT ON THE BOARD...

You can PUT IT ON THE BOARD...YES!"

And then Jim Thome hits a homerun

"That one is high, and deep..and a 3 run homer for jim thome"

:lol

thank god this is all getting worked out, marlins tv would never be the same.

if i were fsn or whoevever, i would keep this duo as long as possible.

I couldn't imagine watching a Marlins game without Tommy on it.

I saw we all e-mail Jeff Genthner telling him how much the Marlins community loves Tommy Hutton and how much we want him to stay. Does anyone have his e-mail address, Ramp?

Guys, this doesn't have to do with Tommy going away. If anything it will mean more job security for him and Len. FSN will sign them to new contracts removing the team and making it less possible they will leave.

If they get rid of Tommy, I will no longer watch games on television. That simple.
