September 14, 200422 yr Author Huge mistake....Howard better warm up the moment the game begins. 557965 Nate Bump is only expected to go 3 innings.
September 14, 200422 yr nate bump cant go three innings. he's worthless. i guess management just wants to give up the early lead rather than relying on bump to blow the lead late in the game... that way we have longer time to catch up en route to another win.
September 14, 200422 yr If he goes 3 or 4 solid innings :thumbup Bumpity Bump Bump Bumpity Bump Bump Look At Bump Throw
September 14, 200422 yr Author atleast we get pavano tomorrow. Who are the expos throwing out? 558372 Patterson, he's 3-5 with a 5.23 ERA.
September 14, 200422 yr Author Bump to start: For days the Marlins were leaning towards using reliever Nate Bump as the Game 2 starter in Wednesday's doubleheader against the Expos at Pro Player Stadium. McKeon made it official on Tuesday. Bump, who is 2-3 with a 4.59 ERA, has appeared in 45 games. Wednesday will mark the second start of his Major League career. The right-hander, who is most effective when his sinker is working, started on July 20 against the Mets at Shea Stadium. He had a rough outing, giving up six runs on five hits, including a home run, in 2 1/3 innings. Bump was not involved in the decision, and the Marlins won that game, 9-7. "I figured he has started before and he isn't going to have jitters," McKeon said. The Marlins are hoping Bump can give them five effective innings. Bump was groomed as a starter in the minor leagues, but moved into the bullpen when he was called up in 2003. As insurance to back Bump up, David Weathers and Aaron Small are available for long relief. The doubleheader will start at 3:05 p.m. ET, with Carl Pavano pitching Game 1. After the final out, the second game will follow 30 minutes later.
September 14, 200422 yr Patterson and who else for the expos? Patterson isnt good, so hopefully he pitches in the second game so we can have a shootout. I think Livan might be in the first game

September 14, 200422 yr I also like the move of letting Nate Bump start. I have confidence in him and I hope he will give us a solid 5 innings.

September 14, 200422 yr Bump will get a no-decision. He will give up 4 runs in 3 innings but our sticks will rally to squeak out a win. Winner will probably be Perisho, facing only 2 batters.

September 14, 200422 yr That explains why he hasnt gotten into a game of late. This is a good call - I think he will do fine. I also liked what I saw from Valdez today. He is a damn good #5.

Most likely Bump, Howard, and Weathers will all see action unless one really gets on a roll.
September 14, 200422 yr How about we score score 10 runs off the bum pitcher Montreal throws out there so we don't have to worry about it... :whistle
