WTF are the Dodgers doing?

1B. Giants (with or without Delgado.? Snow had a .958 OPS last year.? Delgado was .907.

:lol

So I'm guessing you expect Snow to match that again this year. The guy with the career .791 OPS. Snow only played half the season last year any way.

655349

as long as he keeps batting in front of God, he will continue to hit like that.

655352

just keep telling yourself that.

Like seriously you should just do the guy already and satsify your urges.

The Giants have the best lineup in the NL.655162

:lol

655203

name a better lineup. The only one that comes close is St. Louis

655238

If the Marlins somehow sign Delgado, I'll take our lineup over yours anyday.

655285

even if you guys were to get Delgado, we'd still be better at almost every position

655297

Marlins have a better 1st baseman, catcher, 3rd baseman, 2nd baseman, rightfield, and centerfielder offensively than the Giants

655311

I'll give you catcher and third, but that's it. Castillo can't hit, and Durham's one of the best in baseball. Grissom may be washed up, but he's definitely better than Pierre. Cabrera is gonna be really good, but right now Alou is better.

655320

Dood I think you should be locked up in an insane aslyum.

Your homerism is incomprehinsible.

I'll agree I didnt think Durham had done so good last year so I'll give you that one but to say Castillo cant hit is insane, he did hit .291 with a .373OBP.

Cabrera and Alou were almost equal last year and I think its no doubt that Cabrera will continue to improve while Alou pretty much will stay the same or decline.

BTW Pierre had a better average and OPS than Grissom. So Pierre wins that one.

CF- Marlins

LF-Giants

RF-Marlins

C-Marlins

2B-Giants

First of all, you can put Bonds and any other 7 players in baseball and we'd have a better lineup. But let's look at it by position:

1B. Giants (with or without Delgado. Snow had a .958 OPS last year. Delgado was .907.

CF. Giants. Pierre's OPS was .008 points higher, but if you take ballpark into consideration, Grissom is better

RF. Giants. Cabrera's still a few years away from superstar level. Alou still has another year or two left from superstar level.

And besides that, the gaps at the positions that the Giants are ahead are MUCH wider.

655345

:lol

Your defintely comic relief.

I seriously think Admin pays you to post so we can have some good laughs.

Alou a superstar?

Snow better than Delgado?

good one man

:notworthy

655353

Alou: 39 homers, .919 OPS, .557 SLG. THose aren't superstar numbers? Not to mention he will probably come the closest to Hack Wilson's RBI record we've seen in years, since he will be batting in back of god (and it will also boost his other numbers).

Snow: .327 .429 .529 .958

Delgado: .269 .372 .535 .907

lol.. my god you're a joke

655366

i have the numbers to back up everything i say

First off, Alou established a career high in HRs last year at 38 years old.. 29 of the 39 were in Wrigley. If you think he'll match those numbers at 39 years old, you are on crack.

And seriously, quit referring to a cheating, racist, roid pushing punk as God.

You lost all credibility when you said you'd rather have Durham than Castillo. And you actually compared Snow to Delgado? Are you serious? Grissom over Pierre? LOL! And did I hear correctly? Did he pick Alou over Cabrera? no comment.

You're a joke dude. There's a thing called common sense and you have absolutely none.

Durham: .848 OPS

Castillo: .720 OPS

Snow: .958 OPS

Delgado: .911 OPS

Alou: .919 OPS

Cabrera: .879 OPS

see, i can back up everything I say.

I don't mind him saying Durham is better than Castillo or at this point Alou is better than Cabrera, but when he tries to argue that Snow is better than Delgado based on 300 at-bats that's where I have a problem. Also, I'd take Pierre over Grissom any day.

I stopped listening to this dolt a long time ago when he said Eric Milton was higher on the Cy Young list than Carl Pavano.

Delgado may have been better than Snow for almost their entire careers, and Cabrera may soon be better than Alou, but that's meaningless. What matters is who's better RIGHT NOW. Right now, Snow is better than Delgado, and Alou is better than Cabrera.

I'm sorry.. I thought that was last season not right now.

Common sense. Use it.

Dude, you can't use OPS to determine how good Castillo is. That would be like using wins to determine how good Gagne is...

Castillo isn't the power guy in the lineup. He's the second lead off hitter on the team if you will.

I think I'll use the over 5,000 at-bats Snow has had for his career over the 300 some at-bats he had last year to determine how good he is. You're not going to tell me Snow turned into a superstar overnight at the age of 36.

Sorry.

all that matters to evaluate them NOW is what they've done recently.

Snow turned into a superstar because Alou started batting him in front of god

Again you use that OPS stat for a player that OPS isn't important for just to "prove" your case. Pierre's OPS stat is meanigless. That isn't his job...

Pierre OBP: .374

Grissom OBP: .323

A point of OBP is three times more important than a point of OPS.
