Posted July 15, 200321 yr I got so frustrated on my hunt for a new jersey today (in Miami, FL) that I just felt I'd share the events with you all: I would've just gone straight to Marlins en Miami, but this was past 5 PM and they were already closed. I felt compelled to get a jersey TODAY. So I decide to make a stop at the Sports Authority @ Dadeland North first. The place is overstocked with UM, FSU, and UF stuff as well as tons of damn Seau jerseys. There was ONE Marlins t-shirt in the entire place and of course it was made for obese men - XXL! I patiently drive over to Dadeland Mall where I make my first stop at Champs Sports. At least they had a JERSEY this time it was XXL. What REALLY pissed me off is that when I went to look at visors, they had the Yankees, Dodgers, Cubs, and Red Sox, but NO Marlins! Oh, and of course the place is packed with Dolphins jerseys. This time I also saw a bunch of those classic jerseys. Next stop - Foot Locker. They had 1 Marlins jersey (a Pudge one!) and a bunch of the classic ones as well as modern Atlanta Braves and Yankees and Oakland and whatnot. The Pudge jersey was in Medium, but that kind of went down past my knees. However, the Foot Locker guy says to me: "Oh, now that they're winning you're coming out to buy a jersey?" which pissed me off even more because a) that's not true - I have plenty of Marlins apparel and b) well, I was already frustrated - I didn't need to be accused of being a bandwagoner too! So after yelling at the guy and arguing with him about stats and finally proving to him that I know more than he does, I somewhat stormed out and went for a drive... Final stop - Sports Authority on Kendall Drive. Quick walk to the back of the store shows 3 Marlins Jerseys and various other t-shirts!!! They even had kids sizes for me! I got a home team Lowell jersey. Other options included a home Pudge jersey and the black Pudge jersey. I was so disappointed, though, that many premier athletic retail stores in Miami did NOT have an adequate supply of Marlins apparel -- DURING BASEBALL SEASON! Have any of you guys had similar experiences?
July 15, 200321 yr yea....i had to drive all the way up to Miromar at the Sports authority there to get one....and than the next day at Marshalls they had a jersey there for 20 bucks (40 bucks less than what i payed for mine) i know what you mean, it's kinda ridiculous that in miami florida they dont have that many home team jerseys...

July 15, 200321 yr Marlins en Miami is pretty good, just wait. I know it hurts, but they are full of stuff, only place other than Pro Player to go for Marlins stuff. MLB.com and the Florida Marlins.com store are good, but believe it or not, I buy some Marlins stuff at Wal-Mart, since they are the biggest store in Fort Myers open whenever I want to go.
July 15, 200321 yr marlins stuff will start popping up all over miami in that fair weather town within the next few weeks.
July 15, 200321 yr Yeah, at the end of July everyone will be selling Marlins stuff. NOT IN BOSTON!!!!!!! :angry , hehe, ill just buy off the official marlins site and get stuff sent to me
July 15, 200321 yr if you're not in a hurry, just order it through floridamarlins.com. screw the big sporting goods stores. they never have marlins clothes.

I love the concept of the Marlins en Miami - but I am "sure as hell" not driving down there from my home. Has there been any thought of adding a Marlins in Broward or Palm Beach? It would be nice to have representation in all three counties.

There used to be that store called Home Team Advantage, that sold Marlins, Dolphins, Heat, and Panthers stuff...Counsell signed there after the World Series and there was like a line around the block...what happened to that store?
