Is anyone concerned by the tone of some fans? Listening to some call-in radio shows, many fans want a witch trial. Is this the product of high salaries and the more private lives players lead? Is it jealousy? Or are they just a bunch of crazies convinced that all the games they saw as a kid were the 2-1 pitching duel variety, that every player was Maury Wills and that these ballplayers are ruining their game? It's one thing to dislike a player because he stinks or is hindering the progress or impression of whom you feel is a better player, but these fans have hatred in their hearts for these players (and Donald Fehr and Bud Selig). It's really scary. One day, one of these fans is going to kill a player.

A witch hunt is a hunt for something that doesn't exist.

The steroid 'problem' is loosely defined by nearly all involved and is being taken to new levels by those with an agenda.

No offense, but anybody that thinks these hearings aren't a good thing is a complete moron.

 

There may be political agendas involved and such, but these things will expose these jerk offs that have cheated their ways to records, and I couldn't be happier.
