I feel bad for our pitchers, because our lineup hardly ever gives them any run support. Something has got to happen and I think the problem is the hitting coach, he has got to go.

 

We should have sweeped them not the other way around.

Ive never seen so much anarchy and doom and gloom on a team's board after EVERY loss, especially a team in 2nd place and just 3 games back IN MID MAY!!!!!!

Positive:

 

The Padres have the least losses in the leauge at home.

 

So we shouldn't feel so bad we got swept by them.

This is the first time we ever got swept by the Padres in SD.

 

This is the first time this season that we've lost 3 games in a row.

What exactly is your point? I think everyone can agree that this was a very bad series for us and we lost some very winnable games but it isn't the end of the world.

It's early May. There is some good basketball on tonight and school is almost over. The Marlins are a good baseball team and they'll figure this thing out. Since Lowell is going to take some rest I think we should all too. With the next games being played very late at night I think most of us could benefit from getting some more sleep and not obsessing over every move of this team in May.

I'm pointing out how this sweep is extremely rare.

It's early May. There is some good basketball on tonight and school is almost over. The Marlins are a good baseball team and they'll figure this thing out. Hopefully it tells them that Marlins fans are passionate about their team, and not worthy of daily ridicule and calls for all Florida teams to be contracted.

My problem with this game is that we got swept. We were in the position two or three times to sweep another team, but we didn't come through. In my opinion, one of the biggest tests of a team is how they perform up against the wall -- both when we're up against the wall, and when we have the other team against the wall. Winners put other teams away, and don't let other teams do it to us. Not winning this game makes us look pretty weak-willed.

I just hate that the offense finally came through this game after being in hibernation, and then the pitching bends over & craps all over the game.

 

Now we've got the Dodgers who are just as tough, & unless we can pull out at least 2 games there, the road trip will be a total mess.

Well, I blame Dontrelle. He's doing so darn great that he's making everyone else look bad!

Seriously...we just can't get hits with guys on base. We leave way too many runners stranded. I still think a new hitting coach is in order. It can't hurt to put a fresh perspective on the hitting part of this team.
