Did anyone see this morning's highlights of last night's game? Before the highlights, they showed a quote from Penny where he had not-so-fond comments regarding the Marlins.

What did he say?

Penny said his team's offense will rebound.

 

"They're going to come out of it any day now, we're too good a team," he said. "Every day we don't that means we're that much more likely the next time to come out of it. We'll turn it around. We're the same team that started off hot."

 

It doesn't get any easier, however, as the Marlins on Tuesday night turn to unbeaten Dontrelle Willis.

 

"L.A. used to light him up," said Penny, noting that his former teammate is 0-2 with a 15.43 ERA against the Dodgers. "Nobody else does, but we will."

Eh... no big deal. I thought it was gonna be much worse.

What did you expect him to say, "D-Train will dominate us tomorrow"?

Um, how could you be mad at Brad for that?

 

My favorite quote from him last night was "We can't be friends anymore, they got me tonight."

Ah, I'm sure they are friends off the field. But once they go to battle, all friendships are momentarily forgotten.

 

You are reading too much into it.

I don't it's much different when you see the anti-Christ aka Jim Thome, all business at first base and then a Mike Lowell gets a hit and they're chatting it up at the bag.

 

Since I read/saw/heard about Penny and McKeon greeting and hugging each other before the game, one can only draw the conclusion that he meant it from a competitive rather than personal standpoint.

Ok, that's better. Brad is a good guy.

His comments were not that bad. He is probably still friends with a few of the current Marls, but he can't be all friendly with them if he's facing them the same day.

Overreacting, those comments are no big deal.

I guess he should praise the Marlins and LoDuca should rag on the Dodgers, right?

I dont think so. If the FO had any intentions of resigning Penny, I think we would have held on to him last season.

My bet is Penny would love to come back to So. Fla. He could be a solid #3 behind Beckett and D-Train.

 

Just a matter of whether the finances work.

Um... yeah, that's terrible. It's not like people curse when they get pissed as hell. Brad is totally abnormal and is an a**hole. :plain

I can't imagine Penny saying anything bad about the Marlins afterall all he did with us. Whatever. He's not with us anymore, and if he wants to hate on us, and hit our players(Lo Duca)then...IT'S ON!!!

 

Now that I hear he spoke bad about us I don't feel bad at all for beating us on him last night. I didn't really want to make him look so bad, but now I could really care less.
