Lets bring up Olsen, Johnson, Bradenburg and Allison next!

jeez, why did they do that to Yorm?

so frustrating

Most of us share the same sentiment. It sure wasn't Yorman's fault.

He really had no business being brought up in the first place.

Out of the few bonehead moves that this FO has made in their few years here, this is probably one of the bigger ones. Truly amazing. :plain

I mean really.

JB Miadich, Randy Messenger, even a hurt Ronald Belizario would have been a better idea

The idiot who thought about this move is probably the same who thought about bringing Logan Kensing from single A last year when we had those double headers. These things can mess up a young guy's psyche so easily... it's almost an infamy :banghead :banghead :banghead

I wonder if Jack is sending a message to the front office about calling up these kids by hanging Yorman out to dry. I mean, Jack did propose a 4-man rotation late late year after we were already out of the race and gave David Weathers a start just to keep from handing the ball to Kensing a 4th time. Our resident Jack apologist here suggested Jack didn't want Logan on the roster last year.

Whatever. I guess I'm in the minority here, but I don't have a huge problem with the move. I guess there's probably someone down there who could've done a better job...so that's my only problem with it. But as far as screwing him up for the future, if he can't recover from this, he never had a future.

- Marlins promote minors pitcher and it gets torched

- Oponents promote minors pitcher to pitch against the Marlins, and we get 1 or 2 hit shutout

My thoughts exactly...if he isnt mentally strong enough to bounce back than he isnt strong enough to be in the bigs...as far as Yorman's outing...I liked his stuff when he was able to get it over the plate and if it wasnt for Easley's mishap he gets out of the inning only giving up one run...nobody seems to mind that the FO brought up a young 20 year old kid named Dontrelle two years...you dont know what these guys can do until you throw them in the fire...all is not lost with today's game

Where is Tommy Phelps when you need him?

Pitching for the Brewers

To compare Bazardo to Dontrelle is foolish at best. Yorman is a 20 year old kid who can't strike anyone out despite having strike out stuff. When you have amazing stuff and you can't strike anyone out, you are not ready for the Majors. Plus, Dontrelle was an emergency beyond an emergency. At the time, Penny, Redman, and Burnett were all hurt. Kensing last year was an emergency beyond an emergency. However this year they have absolutely ZERO reason to be calling these kids who are not ready up when they have several relievers who are putting up stellar numbers and are just dying for a chance to prove themselves.

There were a ton of bandwagon fans near me tonight and when Yorman was walking back to the dugout after giving up a ton of runs all the bandwagoners started booing him and this one guy stood up and yelled "Give the rookie a break" and everyone shutup :lol .

Pitchers psyches are very fragile at a young age -- How do you expect him to develop in the minors when in the back of his mind he's questioning himself and his stuff? Kids are brought along slowly for a reason -- if you don't see that you don't know the first thing about sports in general.

For every Dontrelle there's two Justin Waynes. Remember him? The guy they "threw into the fire" and got torched in Houston without recording an out? Beinfest got incredibly lucky with Cabrera and Dontrelle -- but he's REALLY playing with fire right now with Bazardo and Kensing -- he's putting two promising young arms on the line for no reason at all.

That really makes me mad that people booed him. Nobody should boo the Marlins no matter what. It is okay to get upset at their performance, but how low of a person do you have to be to boo the players you root for?!? Jerks. Yorman just needs more time in the minors and I am sure he learned a lot from tonight.
