Screw the Pirates

Screw Juan "Look I work hard because my whole f***ing game is speed and if I ever get the slightest injury to my legs I'd be hitting like a litle b***h. And if I were playing in some amateur league I'd be killed 56 times over already for all the damn bunting and short line drives hit over third I do all the damn time" Pierre

Screw Mike "I only do rice and beans. Trashing on my teammates, questioning the abilities of veteran Marlins and young rookies alike. I had wished Redmond and Choi punched him out. Loria and Samson too for that matter. Know your role pretty boy" Lowell

And someone get a muzzle for A.J. "Still holding a grudge from 3 years ago. Damn, well, they better pay me for sitting on the DL. After all i's there fault I still try to overpower everyone out there and won't listen to any of my pitchign coaches. Damn, and I thought Josh Beckett had a mouth" Burnett.

Let's win this s**t.

Yahoo! Sports Game Preview:

Many teams have dominated the Pittsburgh Pirates over the last four years. The Florida Marlins aren't one of them.

The Marlins hope Brian Moehler can help them end their slump against the Pirates in Pittsburgh as the teams resume their four-game series at PNC Park.

Daryle Ward hit a go-ahead two-run homer in the seventh inning to beat Florida 5-4 on Tuesday, the Marlins' eighth consecutive loss in Pittsburgh.

``It's like when you come in here, you're snakebit, no matter what you do. You make one mistake, and it costs you here,'' Florida manager Jack McKeon said. ``But it will turn -- hopefully.''

The Pirates haven't had a winning season since 1992, yet are 10-1 against the Marlins in Pittsburgh the last four years, a stretch that includes Florida's 2003 World Series championship season. They are 7-1 overall against the Marlins the last two seasons.

Florida has dropped six of seven overall, while the Pirates won their second straight despite losing six of 10. The Marlins will turn to Moehler to cool off the Pirates on Wednesday.

Moehler is winless in his last two starts despite allowing only two runs combined in 13 innings. The journeyman hurler has held the opponents to two earned runs or less in all seven of his starts and opponents are hitting .254 against him this season.

Pittsburgh went 15-13 in May thanks largely to the hot-hitting of Ward and Jason Bay.

Ward, cast off by the Dodgers after hitting .183 in 2003, has 25 homers and 83 RBIs in 443 at-bats the last two seasons despite being sidelined for nearly two months last year by a right thumb injury. He has 10 homers and a team-high 26 RBIs this season.

Bay leads the Pirates with a .292 batting average, 11 home runs and 31 runs scored. The 26-year-old outfielder hit nine home runs and knocked in 18 runs in May.
