June 2, 200521 yr Hey all, been reading these boards for a long while now and finally decided to get posting. Anyways anyone know if the Marlins are still looking at Vazquez, I know they were drooling all over this guy for awhile. He's done pretty good so far this year and I think bringing him down here to Miami would only help. Got a huge contract but maybe they could get the D'Backs to pick up a piece. Ship off Enc and Pierre even though I love the guy along with a prospect maybe.

June 3, 200521 yr Marlins get: Preston Wilson Nationals get: Juan Encarnacion Rockies get: Zach Day Jun 1 Nationals.MLB.com's Bill Ladson reports Colorado Rockies OF Preston Wilson was almost dealt in a three-way deal with the Florida Marlins for OF Juan Encarnacion and the Washington Nationals for SP Zach Day, but Day went on the disabled list. The Rockies would have paid most of Wilson's salary. -yahoo sports
June 3, 200521 yr I would of thought Day to Florida Preston to Washington, gives them a center feilder they need.
June 3, 200521 yr no it's the same trade, we would've landed Day, Enc to Rockies, and Preston to the Nationals.
June 3, 200521 yr Wait, where does it say Preston Wilson would have come to Florida? Am I missing something? 793946[/snapback] No Marlins Phenoms missing something
June 3, 200521 yr It's the same deal mentioned here .. not another deal as stated by the original poster.
June 3, 200521 yr The Nationals agreed to trade right-hander Zach Day, but the deal was scuttled when an MRI exam revealed that the struggling pitcher has a hairline fracture of the right wrist. GM Jim Bowden wouldn't reveal the other player or team involved in the deal. Sources said the Nationals were in serious negotiations with the Marlins about a deal that would have involved Day for outfielder Juan Encarnacion. Another source said the Nationals were also in negotiations with a team other than the Marlins. Instead of making a trade, the Nationals placed Day on the 15-day DL. -- Washington Post i dont like that trade but i will trade him for jose guillen or livan hernndez or a better one vinny castilla and livan for mikey bump and leiter what do u guys think
