thats my boy derek lee what the hell were the marlins thinking when they traded him for choi?????? look at what were missing out of.

You do realize if we have Derrek Lee, we don't have Carlos Delgado right?

thats my boy derek lee

By the way if you like him so much you should really know how to spell his name.

Had he stayed with us none of this would have happened. Just reaffirms my thesis on Lee. I am so happy we got rid of him.

I thought only MARLINS threads are suppose to be posted here?

Nobody would have guessed Derrek would have blossomed the way he has so far this year. I'm very happy for him as he is a standout guy.

He plays in Wrigley, enough said..

If Delgado played in Wrigley everyday, he'd be doing just as well, if not better than Derrek Lee is right now.

I like Derrek. I am happy for him that he's doing well...... just not against us. :p

The point of the trade was a salary dump. It wasn't an equitable trade of talent.

Forget Delgado, I like Lee, I knew his numbers would inflate in Chicago, so his number would pretty much be the same in Florida, but it's the D that Lee displayed that I miss. He really did bring alot to this team, and I feel like his departure has affected us greatly.

Dlee>C.Delgado and that's in any park

if delgado would have scooped up the throw from alex that 3 run inn. would have never happened, Dlee no dought would have scooped up that throw, don't get me wrong though i love that C.Delgado is here and that he is having a great year for us and helping our club win

Delgado has been consistant for a number of years, and is a much better clutch hitter than D-Lee. Delgado stinks on defense, but he can carry his team on his back a lot better Lee, despite what Derek has done this season.

Who has Delgado carried to great heights? He never carried the Blue Jays to anything better than 3rd let alone the playoffs. And let me tell you he is doing a great job of carrying the Marlins to third place now.

Delgado has always played with sub-par Blue Jay teams so you can't blame him squarely so that's not a great line of reasoning. If you dont want a guy who hits 30+ HR and 100+RBI every year, you're crazy.

Delgado is a great hitter and leader but i miss Derek Lee....he hits great and his glove is the best in the league....

Don't forget that dynasty a certain NY team put together.

Lee never carried us anywhere, either.

And where did D-Lee every carry us? OH WAIT, that was Pudge  .

Your statement is ridiculous and no different than saying Aubrey Huff sucks because he can't carry the D-Rays past the Yanks and Sox.

Delgado>Lee

We've discussed this way too many times...

I never said D-Lee carried us anywhere. All I said is that Delgado never carried anyone anywhere after MarlinsContinueToShowDominance said he did. Doesn't mean he sucks but it doesn't mean he can do it either.

If Delgado played in Wrigley everyday, he'd be doing just as well, if not better than Derrek Lee is right now.

Pretty identical road and away #s. How do you clowns get away with bashing Lee so much? Wrigley is not the only factor.

...but not playing in the Pro is

I believe he would've broken out regardless.
